Despite Marquis being around the Kinser family for 6 years, the two of us had never crossed paths until one fateful June day. A celebration for Jacob's (Bride's cousin) college graduation allowed them to finally meet. Marquis had taken a notice of Morgan during an intense pool volleyball tournament and turned up the charm with his classic smartass comments. After a devastating loss, Morgan, with a little liquid courage, sauntered up to Marquis and laid a master class pickup line on him, "So, how are you related to the family?" Luckily, he was the only one there NOT related. The two hit it off and were blowing up each other's phones the whole drive back to Michigan. The rest is history!

Just as the Best Man, Will, told Marquis, the holidays are the perfect time to propose to the one you love. Marquis had worked hard in the background to create the perfect ring for Morgan. With the help of both his sister, Laney, and future sister in law, Brynn, he designed a ring that he knew she would love. So as the ball began to drop on 2020, he grabbed the ring out of his pocket and waited with anticipation. At midnight, they kissed and Morgan opened her eyes to Marquis holding out the ring. We are going to blame the crying that followed on the late hour.
