Take a boat trip to Moni Island. Just a short ferry or water taxi ride from Aegina, Moni is a small, uninhabited island known for its crystal-clear water, peacocks, and reindeer roaming freely. It’s a perfect day trip for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing.
Explore Aegina Town. Wander through the harbor area, grab a coffee (Morgan loves the Greek frappé) or gelato (you must try pistachio gelato!), browse the little shops, and admire all of the Greek Cats (Morgan's #1 favorite!).
Visit the Temple of Aphaia. This ancient temple sits high on a hill and has incredible views of the island and sea. It’s definitely worth a visit!
The seafood here is amazing... grilled octopus, fresh fish, and lots of Greek salads by the water.
Agia Marina – long sandy beach with beach bars, perfect for a lively day by the water. Perdika Beach – a quieter, charming village beach ideal for a relaxing afternoon. Souvala Beach – smaller, peaceful beach with calm waters and a few tavernas nearby. Mavrovouni Beach – great for swimming and enjoying the sun, less crowded than some of the others.
Visit Paleochora. If you’re up for a bit of exploring, this old mountain village is full of charm and history — it’s a fun contrast to the coastal spots.
The island is easy to explore, and driving around is one of the best ways to find cute villages, ocean views, and small local tavernas.
