How it started? Well we guess it depends on who you ask. If you ask Morgan, she’ll tell you Khari was out here pretending not to notice her. To this day, Morgan jokes that Khari straight-up ignored her before they officially met. He swears it wasn’t on purpose but let’s just say, once he met her, she was impossible to forget. One day, Khari walked past Morgan’s dorm room and saw her sitting there alone. Whether it was fate, curiosity, or finally realizing the queen was in his presence, he struck up a conversation. That one moment turned into hours of laughter, deep talks, and the kind of connection that makes you forget to check the time. He quickly realized that behind Morgan’s beauty was someone mature, genuine, and effortlessly silly. And Morgan? She noticed his faith first; how grounded, confident, and humble he was. The easygoing nature, the quiet strength. Our “first date” was probably a trip to the campus dining hall (hey, broke college days build character), but let’s call it the movies for the sake of romance. Whether it was popcorn or cafeteria pizza, we found joy just being in each other’s presence. After college, real life came fast: bills, careers, transitions, and tests we never saw coming. But through it all, we pushed each other. We grew up and we grew together. From late night talks to early morning hustle, from figuring out life to building a future, we did it all side by side. We built a life, created memories, and most beautifully, welcomed our two greatest gifts: our son Nakoa, and soon after, our daughter Madison. Now here we are, two Mizzou sweethearts, a little older, and a lot wiser, ready to officially say “I do” surrounded by the people who’ve supported our journey every step of the way. We can’t wait to celebrate with you; laugh, cry, dance, and soak up every moment of this next chapter.
