For our first date, we went to Ski Liberty. After snow tubing, we bonded over hot chocolate (and chicken tenders) in the lodge. It is still one of our favorite pastimes.
After the high school production of Guys and Dolls, during strike, JEB asked Morgan to go for a walk up to the prop closet. That was the beginning of forever.
We started dating in sophomore year and, during that time, went to homecomings, proms, football games, musicals, concerts, and many dates (that we had to be driven to).
The last summer of childhood: We graduated high school and spent every possible hour with each other. We fondly remember the days spent watching Phineas and Ferb, on the beach, and walking the battlefield (alright - this one JEB enjoyed more than Morgan).
After the summer, Morgan went to culinary school in Philadelphia, and JEB went to college in Maryland. Most weekends, one of us drove to see the other. No matter the cramped dorm rooms, we always found space for our love.
When COVID hit, JEB returned home from DC. With so much free time, we spent every minute together. Throughout the job changes, we saved enough to start looking for a house to call our own.
Two days before Christmas we bought each other the best present we could've asked for! We closed on our first house, and within the coming months, made it our home.
During our annual corn maze adventure for Morgan's birthday, JEB proposed to Morgan in a small clearing, surrounded by her family. She says it was the greatest birthday ever!
Our days are filled with work, wedding planning, date nights, reading our books, and plenty of evenings spent curled up on the couch watching trashy reality TV shows or reruns of our favorite classics. These are all exciting, and we cannot wait for our big day, but we realize this is just a single chapter in our story and cannot wait to write more.
