What is the dress code?

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding and reception will both be outdoors! We recommend bringing a light jacket as it can start to get chilly after sunset.

What is the weather typically like on Guemes Island in September?

Answer

Guemes Island / Anacortes is typically sunny and warm during the summer months, even after Labor Day. You should expect temperatures ranging from 70 - 80 during the day and 55 - 65 in the evening. However, it is the PNW, so there is always a small chance of rain, no matter the season. So please check the weather leading up to the wedding and dress accordingly! We will have a tent regardless of the weather.

How do we get to Guemes Island for the wedding?

Answer

You will need to take the Guemes Island Ferry from Anacortes! It is a quick, 5-minute ferry ride to the island. The wedding venue is another quick, 5-minute walk from the island ferry terminal. Note: If you need assistance to the venue, we can arrange for a car (or golf cart) to pick you up on the island side.

Any specific tips for planning out the ferry trip?

Answer

We recommend walking on to the ferry (do NOT drive over) as the ferry can be busy and we don't want you to miss the ferry you are wanting to catch! There is ample parking right by the ferry for easy access to the boat via walking.

Are children allowed?

As much as we love all the little ones, we ask that our wedding is adults only.

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

If you would like to bring a +1, we kindly ask that you ask Morgan and/or Jason before you invite them. We would like to make sure we can accommodate them, include them on the seating chart, etc.

Will there be a hotel block in Anacortes for anyone traveling from out of town?

Answer

YES! We have reserved 30 total hotel rooms at the Majestic in Anacortes. If you would like to reserve one of the rooms, please text Morgan or Jason to get on the list. If all of the rooms are spoken for, don't worry! There should still be availability at the Majestic if you book a few months ahead of time and there are many other hotel options in the area (please see the "Travel" section for more information)
