It’s {finally} happening!

Neither Morgan nor Garrett can pinpoint when they first met, just that when basketball season in Fall of 2009 rolled about, the other was there. For longer than a decade, the two have been a part of a larger group of VCU students that has seen quite a bit of growth. M & G's first date was, shockingly, after a Valentine's Day basketball game, to Lady N'awlins in Richmond. As you can see through the selection of photos, the two have had quite a few wonderful adventures in their four years of dating, and look forward to the next chapter!

On June 13, 2020, Garrett and Morgan spent the better part of the day hiking Mary's Rock - culminating in a gorgeous view of the Shenandoah Valley. Because of the beautiful weather, the trail was packed, and Garrett decided to hold onto "the question" for a more intimate occasion. Midday the following Monday, Garrett, spontaneously, suggested another hike, Overall Run Falls, on Skyline Drive. They arrived with two hours till sunset, and set off down the quiet trail, Loue leading the pack. With Loue supervising from a nearby rock, and while Morgan was distracted by the waterfall, Garrett dropped to one knee and asked the question (She said YES!) Later, Morgan revealed that she thought he had twisted his ankle or fallen... Now, why would she think that? On their way back to the parking lot, they spotted a piebald deer against the sunset.
