What to Wear We’re so excited to celebrate our big day with all of you — and we’d love for everyone to dress to match the occasion! Dress Code: Formal Attire We kindly ask that all guests follow these guidelines: Attire: Formal. Think suits and ties for men, and floor-length dresses or formal gowns for women. Colors to Avoid: Please do not wear black, white, or red. No Jeans, Please: While we love a good pair of denim, this isn't the night for them. Keep it classic, clean, and elegant. If you’re unsure, a safe bet is a navy, jewel-toned, or earth-toned outfit with dressy shoes and a little extra polish. We appreciate you dressing up and helping us make this night as special and memorable as possible. Can’t wait to see you all there — looking your best and ready to celebrate!
The wedding and reception are both happening at The Great Hall at the Millstad center in Joppatowne MD 701 Whitaker Mill Rd, Joppatowne, MD 21085
We love your kids — we really do. We just think you deserve a night off! Our wedding will be an adults-only event, so call the babysitter, dust off your fancy shoes, and come enjoy a kid-free evening of dinner, dancing, and questionable dance moves. We promise they'll forgive you (eventually).
Our ceremony will be held outdoors weather permitting, of course. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move the ceremony inside to the same location as the reception, so either way, everything will be in one place and easy to find. Rain or shine, we’re getting married!
Yes! We’ll have an open bar featuring a great selection of beer, wine, and specialty cocktails crafted just for our big day to keep the celebration flowing. However, due to venue restrictions, shots won’t be on the menu but don’t worry, we’ll still make sure there’s plenty to toast with all night long!
Yes. At the very least one song is required (chicken dance will be played)
Everyone must be seated BEFORE 3:15pm
We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family, and due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on the invitation. We hope you understand, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
PIIIIZZAAA. We are excited to share with you our favorite family run pizzaria Marias.
There is parking available on site.
There are no hotel blocks but the closest hotels are about 15 minuets from the venue. We recommend getting a reservation if needed prior to the big day.
We’re not doing a traditional registry — instead, we’ve set up a honeymoon fund! If you’d like to contribute to our next big adventure as newlyweds, you can find all the details [ https://www.honeyfund.com/site/hensley-knowlton-09-04-2026 ]. Your love and support mean the world to us, and we’re so excited to celebrate with you!
We’re having an unplugged ceremony, which means we kindly ask you to put your phones and cameras away and just be present with us during this special moment. Don’t worry we’ve got amazing photographers capturing it all! BUT... once the ceremony is over, feel free to blow up our phones with photos, selfies, and dance floor magic from the reception. We want to see it all the good, the great, and the slightly blurry.
Sadly the party does have to come to an end. We ask all guest to make their way to their vehicles by 9:45pm to allow time for clean up.
Nope! We’re skipping the traditional bouquet and garter toss — not really our style. Instead, we’re doing something way more fun: a custom T-shirt toss! Get ready to catch some one-of-a-kind swag and show off your reflexes. You definitely want to be on the dance floor for this!
