Our version of Central Park, just smaller and with better trees! Forsyth is best enjoyed with a coffee (or cocktail-to-go) from Collins Quarter. There's an excellent farmer's market on Saturday mornings.
This is *the* house from *the* book. (For Savannah newbies, that's Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil.) A must-do for first timers.
Hands down best view of the city! Bar snacks and drinks are tasty too. Watch the sunset from here if you can, but brunch is another great option.
The bar lovingly described as "Savannah's living room". Most of our local friends will probably be here anyway.
You can see our house from here, so yeah, we go often. Great spot for slightly upscale lunch or dinner, and grab a coffee from Franklin's next door on your way out.
The nicer part of River Street, good for strolling by the water and enjoying some window shopping. Check out Byrd's for free cookie samples, and don't miss the Marriott hotel lobby which is truly a sight to see.
Another excellent home tour with much of the exhibit dedicated to the enslaved people who lived, worked, and died at the house and in Savannah more generally.
Local haunt with tons of history and a million photos on the wall to prove it. Try the mud pie!
Mrs Wilkes will serve you the largest pile of fried chicken you've ever seen in your life, this will literally last you all weekend. Only open Monday thru Friday. Expect a line.
A great, cheap place downtown to try a low country boil. Do not be alarmed, but it will be served to you in a plastic bag.
