If you have the chance, we highly recommend you visit Rocky Mountain National Park! Information about entrances and fees can be found on the FAQ page. I have attached a link to a list of the trails in RMNP grouped by location- "Estes Park/Moraine Park" will be nearest to where most people will be staying. http://www.rockymountainhikingtrails.com/rocky-mountain-trails.htm
Even if you are not a hiker, there is something in the park for you! Trail Ridge Road is a must-do activity. The road is quite treacherous, so pick a brave driver. Entrance reservations are not required before 9am or after 3pm and a fee of $25 per vehicle is required. Highly recommended!!
You can find free parking and shuttles at the visitor’s center right next to a paved path along the fall river. Follow the path to downtown Estes Park for some ice cream! Here is a link with information about the shuttles: https://www.visitestespark.com/plan/getting-around/free-shuttle-buses/
Great Italian food for dining in or takeout!
Great spot for Colorado-Mex cuisine. Several bison options on the menu if you want to try something local!
