Getting to Puebla de Sanabria

1) By Car -- From Madrid Barajas, it is a 3.5 Hour drive. If there's more than one or two of you in your party, we highly recommend that you rent a car. There are few public transit options available in Puebla. 2) By Train -- You can take a train from Madrid to Puebla de Sanabria. It takes roughly 2 hours and 48 minutes. They can be booked on www.renfe.com. This costs 25-50 Euros round trip. 3) By Bus -- Buses leave from cities around Spain for Puebla. From Madrid, it takes four hours and costs 23-30 euros each way. We don't recommend this if you are leaving from Madrid -- the train is better if you can take it. 4) BlaBlaCar -- This is a ridesharing app. You enter your trip and people who are going the same direction will take you for a fee. Download the app and learn more at https://www.blablacar.com/ 5) Walk/Bike. We're not joking! Probably ten days from Madrid on foot? This city is on the Camino de Santiago, so if you were ever itching to do it, now could be your chance!

AIRPORTS

MADRID — The cheapest and easiest airport to fly into. 3.5 hours by car from Puebla. A CORUÑA — Principal airport in Galicia. Great option if you want to travel through that region before or after the wedding. 3 hours by car to Puebla. BILBAO — If you want to travel around the basque country, this is a good option. It’s 4 hours from Puebla.

Staying in Puebla de Sanabria

Staying in Puebla de Sanabria is your first option, which is closer to the Friday evening reception and the ceremony. It’s a beautiful medieval village with restaurants and lots of services. Click on the ”map” button on the ceremony event on the schedule page to see where it is. This village was rated “the most beautiful village in Spain” by various touristic agencies, so make sure to bring your cameras! There are a limited number of rooms available in the village proper. While there are plenty of hotels around the region and close to village, I think these will provide the best experience. Each of these hotels has about 12 rooms.

Puebla de Sanabria ha sido nombrado uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España. Aunque hay mas hoteles en Puebla de Sanabria y también casas rurales en la región, creemos que estos tres alojamientos darán una de las mejores experiencias para conocer la zona. Cada hotel cuenta con unas 12 habitaciones.

Staying in Rozas

Staying in Rozas is your second option, where the late night party is happening and there will be little shelter from the wedding noise. It’s more of a hamlet than a village, and there are no services, but meals will be made available through the town’s only hostel, and everyone will be staying within a few blocks of each other and the wedding. You can see where this is by clicking on the “map” button under the wedding party event on the schedule page. Staying here will be a more rural experience, and the village is ringed by lush green forests in rolling hills with ample trails to explore. There are two available places to stay in Rozas, and one in Valdespino, which is about a half mile away. These hotels have been entirely reserved by us. If you would like to stay there, please message us and we’ll place you in a room.

Alojamiento en Rozas

Alojamiento en Rozas como segunda opción. Rozas es el lugar donde la cena y fiesta de la boda serán. Está muy cerca del lugar de la boda, por lo que es posible que se escuche ruidos de la fiesta. Rozas es más bien una aldea que un pueblo y no ofrece servicios a su alrededor. La casa rural ofrece únicamente desayunos. Puedes ver en nuestra página web de la boda donde está Rozas, simplemente haciendo click on donde pone “map” debajo de “wedding party event” en donde dice “schedule”. Si decides alojarte en Rozas tendrás una experiencia mas rural. El pueblo está rodeado de bosques, pequeñas colinas y con vegetación abundante. Hay dos opciones de alojamiento en Rozas y una en Valdespino, que tan solo está a 1km, 10-15 min caminando. Estas tres estancias han sido reservadas previamente por nosotros, por lo que si deseas quedarte aquí, por favor ,comunícase con nosotros.

Transport to and From the Wedding Party

A bus will be provided to take guests to the wedding party in Rozas and back. It will make stops in El Puente and Puebla.
