You may have noticed a small detail card included with your invitation. We felt that this was important to clarify because we realize this could be confusing. The physical address of our venue, Grey LB, is 237 Long Beach Blvd. There is a door at this address but it will not be unlocked until after the ceremony is over. We are asking that all of our guests enter the ceremony through the walkway between our friends at Rainbow Juices and Under the Sun just around the corner from the address on the invitation. Please consider this detail when arranging rides or parking.
For locals we recommend biking, bus or ride share. If you are traveling to Long Beach for the weekend, we have some recommendations for hotels close to the venue to avoid dealing with parking. If you will be driving to the wedding, there are two public (paid) parking lots close to the venue. You will find their locations on the map included with your invitation. Lot #1 is $10/day and Lot #2 is free for the first two hours and $4/hour following with $12/day maximum. **Please don't drink and drive.
We have been closely watching the numbers in Long Beach & are thrilled that they have been heading in the right direction for several weeks. We are hoping this trend continues & that soon, COVID will be in the past. We know that most of our guests are fully vaccinated and/or have had COVID in the past several weeks but we would still appreciate that all of our guests take caution when attending. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do so. If you don't want to hug or kiss, please don't hesitate to let us know. A negative test result is a great way to ensure the safety of others you will be spending time with so if you are able to, please get tested 2-3 days before our celebration. Planning this wedding in the midst of a pandemic has been tough & everyone's health and safety is a priority for us. If you are not feeling well or are displaying any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19 leading up to the wedding, please help keep everyone safe and stay home.
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside and the reception is indoors up a flight of stairs. February in Long Beach is usually quite mild but we will be monitoring the weather in case we need to make any changes. Let's all just hope for clear skies and sunshine.
We sent you a recipe card with your formal invitation because we are always trying to improve our skills in the kitchen and would love for you to share a favorite recipe to try. It could be anything from soup, to BBQ, to desert as long as it's something you really enjoy cooking or eating. Please fill out the card and bring it to the wedding and don't forget to include your name! If you must send regrets, we'd still love a recipe from you so please drop it in the mail.
We would love it if you used #moretodayforever on your social media posts so we don't miss these moments.
We are so excited about our caterer and are aware that some of you have dietary restrictions. We are doing our best to make our menu inclusive so please include your restrictions at the time of your RSVP.
Although we love all of the babies and we would normally love a large reception, unfortunately we cannot extend an invite to anyone not listed on your invitation. We hope you understand.
We are looking forward to celebrating with you all. We appreciate your RSVP as soon as possible but we understand that you might need some time to plan. Our deadline for all RSVPs is February 1st when our final counts are due to our vendors. We will not be able to honor any RSVPs after this date. Party on!
