A Sunday kind of love.

Most people don't know this but Lauryn and Sarah had a brief encounter at the Long Beach Pride Festival in 2010. Sarah was celebrating the day with friends after swarming the parade with Long Beach Roller Derby. At the festival, Lauryn and some friends spotted Sarah and requested a photo. Never one to let down the fans, Sarah obliged. Only one photo has been recovered of this brief interaction and sadly, it doesn't include Lauryn because she was probably taking it. In 2014, when Sarah started a new job at the Apple Store, it was friendship at first sight but Lauryn would tell you otherwise. After a couple years of working together, some quality time, and lots of flirting, they both figured out what "it" was.

It was a rouse! With help of some very special friends, Lauryn was able to fool Sarah, leading her to believe they were helping with a special project for work. Sarah wasn't feeling her best and wanted to postpone but Lauryn insisted "It's very important". After begging, pleading, and a little bit of guilt, Sarah barely got herself together and was only 15 minutes late. Walking into the backyard should have been a clue but Sarah still didn't understand what was going on. Lauryn knew she couldn't waste any time and with "Lovefool" playing in the background, got on one knee to ask Sarah to spend forever with her. Almost instantly, Sarah was feeling much better and was able to celebrate with Lauryn and some close friends.
