How We Met

February 2016

We first started talking to each other on Plenty of Fish, a dating application. After much convincing by Mark (through messages, emails, and texts), Elizabeth agreed to a date. “It was the best date I have ever been on”- Elizabeth Mora (also written by Mark LOL... I'm pretty sure I didn't say that) Both of us were nervous—Mark so much more than Elizabeth. We had great food and drinks paired with great conversation…followed by more drinks and slurred conversation. In order to meet the high standards of our first date, we made our second even more amazing. We ate chicken and sushi at a strip mall by SDSU. Our third was incredibly better, we went to Hawaii. No bigs, that’s just how we roll. Our journey over the next few years is filled with so many special events…when we officially became a couple over the Balboa Bridge, when we first said I love you to each other, when we successfully parallel parked a full cab Ford F-250 with only 2 inches to spare on each side, and when Elizabeth agreed to marry me and finally said yes (after initially saying “no, don’t do this to me right here…no, no, no”). Like most couples, we had just as many rough patches, but that made us stronger and our story more interesting. We appreciate everyone who supported us along the way and who will be there with us when we continue the next chapter of our story. (Written by Mark)
