Travel Note

Passports!

Your passport must be active for at least 3 months after your return flight to be allowed in the country. Please make sure your passport expires after April 20th, 2025. If you need to renew, there is currently a Beta program on www.travel.state.gov that allows you to renew your passport online without having to go the post office. Expected time from time of submission to new passport arrival is 2 weeks. Please note that currently, they are only opening 80 spots a day at 1PM ET for use of the online program. We recommend being on the application page at 12:59PM promptly with your new passport picture and old passport ready to apply. You can also renew your passport via mail. Flight

Flight Options

Flights are now available for the wedding weekend! Most guests should plan to fly in either Thursday, January 16th or Friday, January 17th, 2025 and leave on Monday, January 20th (unless you plan to travel around before/after). Please keep in mind a group ziplining/rafting activity on Friday morning is scheduled for guests who arrive early. Search flights from your nearest airport to San José (SJO) at www.google.com/flights. Flights are cheapest 1-3 months prior to departure. Please book at least 2-3 months in advance. We recommend using the travel alert option within Google Flights homepage. Please let us know if you need any assistance with booking flights.

Hotel

Hotel Villa Caletas

This is where the welcome party, ceremony and reception will be and where most guests will stay. Rooms have been blocked off and secured at a discounted rate, but this is a small boutique hotel which has a wide range of rooms varying in price, amenities and views. Accommodations Outside of Hotel

While we would love for you to stay with us at Hotel Villa Caletas, we understand that the hotel does not accommodate all of our guests with the small selection of rooms available at the boutique hotel. We offer two options if you are unable to stay at Hotel Villa Caletas: First, we recommend checking out the sister hotel Zephyr Palace. Second, we recommend using Booking.com to look for affordable accommodation near Jaco, Costa Rica. There are options ranging from 100-300$ a night. Please contact us if you have any questions or require any assistance with your accommodations. WE ARE HAPPY TO HELP!!

Rental Car

Avis, Budget, and Hertz Car Rentals

Airport shuttles from airport to the hotel can be arranged if you do not plan to stay long in Costa Rica or rent a car. Please contact us directly at MoranAFeeling@gmail.com to confirm your flight times and shuttle availability. Car rentals start from $30-$40 a day. Please contact car rental agencies directly or book online. We recommend using Expedia, Kayak and other travel agencies to get the lowest prices. PLEASE NOTE: If you are planning to travel around and plan to visit La Fortuna or the Arenal Volcano, you NEED 4WD. Roads can be unpredictable in CR.
