Matt and Sam met through friends who organized a trip to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware--a trip which has since become an annual tradition. As it happened, Sam was driving, and Matt met him for the first time getting into Sam's car. After a few days of fun in the sun, Sam drove Matt back to DC and asked him on a date right after dropping him off at his apartment. After a few years of long distance dating (Sam lived in Silver Spring, MD), they moved in together in late 2019 in an apartment with those same friends that organized the trip where they'd met. Fast forward a few years where nothing of note happened in the world, in February of 2021, the couple brought Mallow (a tiny, 66lb fluffy Samoyed) into their family. A little over a year after that, they bought a home together in DC, where Matt, Sam, and Mallow have been ever since. Matt and Sam share a love of good food, travel, and spoiling Mallow rotten. Sam works in emergency management, while Matt is an attorney on the Hill. They both grew up in Pennsylvania, though Sam outside of Pittsburgh and Matt in Renovo. They are both excited to spend time with incredible friends and beloved family members and are thrilled to celebrate their wedding with you!
