Where is the best place to stay?
Answer
We have reserved the Patterson Lake front area of Sun Mountain Lodge for the whole weekend and the 16 cabins will be available you all to rent. Additionally, up the hill just a mile is the main lodge with lots of additional rooms. Please visit the Booking info too reserve your cabin/room!

Can we share a cabin?
Answer
Absolutely, there are different size cabins available and even the one bedrooms have an extra Murphy bed. Book with a friend or let us know what you need!

Can we arrive early or stay longer?
Answer
Yes! We will probably arrive a few days early and maybe even stay longer! Book your cabin/room as long as you want. It’s a beautiful spot to explore.

What should we bring?
Answer
There is lots to do in the area, bring your mountain bikes (e-bikes are allowed on certain trails!), SUPs, fishing gear, hiking gear, yard games, swim suit etc! There is a full bar and restaurant at the lodge, as well as lots of great places to eat in Winthrop, and all the cabins have full kitchens, in case you want to cook. Think of it as your typical cabin Airbnb vacation but we will provide dinner Friday, and dinner/booze/music on Saturday!

Yes, all the cabins are dog friendly! However the rooms at the lodge are NOT.

The month of May brings the most spectacular wildflowers covering the hillsides and wildflowers of every color. What’s available at this lodge?

Sun Mountain Lodge has two outdoor heated swimming pools open during the summer season and two smaller outdoor hottubs open year-round. For those rainy days or when you feel like spending an afternoon in the Lodge, enjoy the Cascade Room equipped with pool tables, ping pong, foosball and more to appeal to all ages. You’ll also find a spa, two restaurants, pickleball, tennis, a library, trailheads, a private lake beach front, a petting zoo, indoor gym, library, art gallery, and gift shop. Use our complimentary EV charging stations, and two playgrounds on the grounds. Book a horse ride, or rent a canoe

Are kids allowed?
Answer
The short answer yes, kind of… We know we are asking you for a full weekend away which is hard for our friends with kids and we want you there! So here is what we propose… bring the kids if you want but bring grandma, sister, nanny or whoever else as well. The kids and your sitter will not be invited to the ceremony or the dinner portion of the reception on Saturday but are more than welcome to join for all of the other events. The lodge has a full restaurant, game room, 2 pools and hot tubs, and the cabins have full kitchens to cook in. Plenty of things to keep them busy while you have dinner and celebrate with us!
