Cancun is in Mexico, do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, please make sure you are planning ahead. Current wait times for receiving your passport is up to 18 weeks.

Is there transportation to and from hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

If you are staying at a sister hotel there is a free shuttle that can transport you between locations. If you are staying at a non sister hotel in the hotel zone, you can take the local bus that travels up and down the hotel zone for less than $1 US, taxis are also available.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Ceremony starts at 5:30 p.m., please arrive by 5:15p.m.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We want you to feel comfortable, and the ceremony will be on the beach so shoes are optional and shades of green are requested and absolutely NO JEANS!

We believe we have everything we need, but if you feel inclined you can donate to our Honeymoon Fund which is located in the Registry section of our website.

I have to be COVID-19 tested before headed back to the US. What is set in place for this?

Answer

Royal Resorts has made COVID Antigen tests available onsite, through certified independent laboratories, at no cost since January 23 at The Royal Sands, The Royal Haciendas and Grand Residences. This policy is valid until October 1, 2021. If you test positive and must quarantine. If you test positive, Royal Resorts will cover the cost of accommodations and meals from the COVID Recovery Menu for up to 14 days, subject to restrictions. Accommodations and meals are covered only for the guest/s who have tested positive and on an availability basis. ***Most up to date as of 7/24/2021 via contact with guest services.***

Question

I am not staying at the host resort, what are my options for COVID testing?

Answer

Please check in with your hotel to see if they are offering onsite testing. There are locations throughout Cancun offering Covid Rapid Antigen testing for $35-58 US. As more information becomes available, site will be updated.
