The Wedding Website of Ashley Ramirez and Anthony Montgomery
We are so excited to celebrate our wedding in Guatemala, a country close to our hearts. Guatemala is full of breathtaking landscapes, vibrant traditions, and warm, welcoming people. It’s a place unlike the U.S., with its own rhythm, culture, and way of life. You may notice differences in daily conveniences, infrastructure - or even the way people get around, but that’s also what makes the experience so special. We invite you to come with open hearts and curiosity, ready to soak in the beauty, history, and spirit of this incredible country. We can’t wait for you to experience Guatemala’s magic with us—it means the world that you’re joining us here.

Rental Car

Rodolfo's Shuttle Service

Rodolfo Diaz, Phone Number:
 50256277059

The best way to contact Rodolfo is either by text or call via WhatsApp (free international text/calls). He is our trusted vendor as he and his team have transported our families many times. Please bring Quetzales to pay him as international bank transfers are difficult and incur extra costs (see note on currency below). Mention Ashley & Anthony's wedding when booking. The journey to Lake Atitlán may be long, but it’s a beautiful and memorable adventure—we promise this is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world! Said to be the 'Lake Como' of Central America, the lake is located 2.5 hours from Guatemala City’s airport. Try to avoid arriving Friday during high traffic 'commuting to work' hours as travel time can significantly increase. Rodolfo & his team will coordinate your ride into Lake Atitlan. We've asked him to group travelers with similar arrival times to ride together and share the cost. Depending on how many other guests will take the ride with you, your cost will be between $25-60 USD per person for a one way trip. Drivers are happy to stop along the way for snacks, bathroom breaks, or a quick bite to eat. It is not advisable to rent a car and drive on your own as some roads are tricky to navigate. Travel Note

Currency / Cash

The official currency of Guatemala is Quetzales (Q). Although the majority of places in Guatemala take Apple Pay & credit cards and sometimes even US cash, it is necessary to bring Quetzales to pay for smaller items such as your shuttle service, souvenirs, water taxis or TukTuks (street taxis), street vendors, etc. If you plan on exploring, having Quetzales is key. Exchange dollars for Quetzales at your home bank (Chase, BOA, etc) or get them once you arrive in the airport via ATM. If you choose to only use US cash, be sure your bills are not ripped, drawn on, and in good condition to be accepted by locals. BRING SMALL BILLS!

Travel Note

Mandatory Electronic Travel Declaration

You must complete an electronic travel declaration form before arriving in Guatemala and present the confirmation / QR code at customs. This can be done online (SAT Form) using the link below. You will need to fill one out when leaving Guatemala as well. This is a free form - no payment is required.
