We recommend renting a car, as transportation is needed to get to Elberta and around the area.
House Or Rental
Harbor Lights Resort is just 5 minutes from the Elberta Life Saving Station, right on the beautiful beach. This is where our wedding party will be staying, and it’s a perfect spot for guests who want to be close to all the action! Information about the room block will be posted shortly! In addition to its prime beachfront location, the resort is also conveniently close to downtown Frankfort, with shops, restaurants, and local attractions just a short drive away. Tip: Summer in Northern Michigan is busy, so if you’re interested in staying here, book early to secure your room.

The Pleasant Valley Motel in Arcadia is a cozy, convenient option for our wedding guests. Located just 15 minutes from the venue. Please note that we are not blocking rooms, so availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Arcadia is a small beach town community! Within walking distance is a beautiful beach, wonderful restaurant, and phenomenal ice cream. Tip : Summer in Northern Michigan is busy, and rooms at the Pleasant Valley Motel tend to fill up quickly. We highly recommend booking as early as possible to secure your stay.

Travel Note
For guests looking for a more private or flexible stay, Airbnb and VRBO are great options near the Elberta Life Saving Station. The best areas to search are: Arcadia (15 minutes away) – just a short drive from the venue, quaint and charming beach town. Elberta (venue is located in this town) – right on the water, very close to the Life Saving Station. Close proximity to Frankfort which has good shopping, beaches, and beer! Frankfort (5 minutes away) – A bit larger with more lodging, dining, and shopping options. Frankfort also has an incredible beach. Most of the wedding party will be staying in this town. Crystal Lake (15 minutes away )– scenic and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Quaint downtown on a beautiful lake. Tip: Summer is a busy season in Northern Michigan, so we recommend booking your rental early to secure your preferred location and dates.
Travel Note
Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft do operate in parts of Northern Michigan, especially in larger towns (Traverse City) and more populated areas but coverage isn’t as robust as in big cities. Closer to the venue in small beach towns such as Arcadia, Elberta, and Frankfort, rideshares are most likely UNAVAILABLE. Please plan accordingly or reach out if you need help!
