Our story begins on a humble dating app in late April. I (Matt) saw her profile (or lack thereof) and decided to reach out nonetheless. I could tell by her limited bio that she was involved in Christian ministry, from Mexico, had a good heart to serve, and of course very pretty. As soon as we began texting we could tell that we were very interested, impressed, and intrigued in one another. We began dating just a week after. The first month together was great! We spent long hours binging shows and movies, enjoying different restaurants, getting to know one another, and meeting friends/important people in each other's lives. But then our relationship was put to the test... I (Monse) had to travel to Mexico City to visit my family, renew my visa, and took a vacation in South America in which I was gone for 5 weeks. Before I left I took a leap of faith and asked Matt if he'd be interested in visiting during my time away; he said yes! And bought his ticket right away to Mexico City. Matt was able to come down for 4 nights, he met my family and closest friends and they all loved him. He won my fiercest and most loyal friends approval! When I returned to Michigan it's as if we didnt miss a beat. We enjoyed the summer, traveling up north and to chicago to visit Matt's family. Matt began attending Red Tree church with me and began making connections of his own with the people there. As the school year kicked off I became increasingly busy but Matt was there to comfort me every step along the way. He has been a great support through the highs and lows of this year's ministry. Our love has grown as we've continued to build on our relationship, lifting each other up and relying on God every step of the way. As we now enter into this cold season i'm beginning to grow suspicious if he really just wants me for my warm hands... (jk jk) We're so thankful to God for bringing us together. I (Monse) know Matt is God's gift for me, a gift I prayed for many many years. I (Matt) am so grateful God introduced me to the loving amazing woman that Monse is and look forward to what He has in store for us years to come. We're very excited and thankful for celebrating our marriage together with you, our friends and family who love us, and we covet your prayers for our marriage.
