San Diego International is the Main Airport serving the San Diego area. With plenty of car rental options and hotels close by, it is a quick and easy option! You can expect a 30 min drive to La Jolla from the airport.

If your travel plans take you to Los Angeles before or after the wedding, you can expect a 2 and a half to 3 hour drive. While the drive will give you scenic views, be prepared for bumper to bumper traffic. Alternatively, Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner runs directly from LA Union Station to San Diego, which is a great option-however, beware of unexpected closures due to mudslides etc!

Although there is no direct route from the Airport to La Jolla, the Blue line of the trolley services the La Jolla area, with other options taking you all over San Diego if you want to explore! If time is not an issue and you don't mind a couple of transfers, there are options that take you from the airport to the trolley via bus or uber/lyft that may decrease the price.
