Arrival
10:30 am - 10:00 pm
NEWS: Shane arrives to Sacramento from Hawaii on Thursday July 5th. Bettina and Brittany arrive to Sacramento from Washington on Friday July 6th around noon, and Penny arrives around 4pm. The Davis group will be 7 people then. We will depart Davis Saturday evening around 8:30pm, meeting up with the Orinda crew, and Eli at the airport by 11pm. 14 of us will be on Avianca 561 departing at 1:30AM July 8th SFO. After a stop in San Salvador we continue on to San Jose, Costa Rica, arriving at 9:58AM. We will be picked up from the airport by private motor coach and driven to Villa Mayana (approx 3 hour drive). NEWS: We will be stopping at a low-key restaurant for some Costa Rican lunch, then proceed to Crocodile Bridge for a view of the biggest crocs you're likely to ever see, or ever want to see. NEWS: Charlotte & Brent fly from Portland, American Airlines arriving SJO at 7:52 pm. Will be picked up by a separate private car. Look for driver with sign "Charlotte & Brent".

After everyone has had a chance to shower or swim, take a nap if they'd like to, and settle into their room, the house chef will prepare our first meal at Villa Mayana.

Eric and Jillian will leave at 4:30am for a couple photo session and return at 6:30am. Don't worry, everyone else does not have to get up that early! After the morning photo session our photographers Chris & Ruth, as well as our videographers, Nate & Sydney, will join us for a casual getting-to-know-you breakfast, followed by a scouting session on the property. Our first full day in Costa Rica will have all meals provided at Villa Mayana. We will have 3 rental SUVs ready for those interested in exploring the area activities, which include: shopping the local markets and shops, board sports (SUP, surfing, boogie boarding, etc.), visiting nearby waterfalls, swimming (ocean or river swimming holes), and visiting the nearby nature park, Manuel Antonio. The Villa has an amazing view, great atmosphere, pool, jungle hiking trails, and a pingpong table, so staying on the property is also a great choice!

THE BIG DAY

Starting at ceremony time, around 2:30PM, guests are asked to wear exclusively the color palette ranging from tan to ivory.
7:30AM - Breakfast - Casual (no color requirements) 8:30AM - Decorating - We need everyone's help stringing flowers from trees & creating a floral mandala on the ground, creating a sacred space for our ceremony. 11:30AM - Light Lunch - We want to fit into our clothes, of course. 12:00PM - Getting Ready - Plenty of time to curl your hair, and then watch it wilt in the humidity. 2:30PM - Unplug - This is the time to say goodbye to your phones/tablets/cameras. We ask that everyone be fully present for our ceremony and dinner. Thanks! 2:45PM - Proceed to the Ceremony Space - Shane will help each person to their assigned location in the circle. 3:00PM - Wedding Ceremony 3:30PM - Group Photos - Let's pile into our SUVs and be followed by our hired paparazzi to the Whale's Tail! 5:30PM - Formal Dinner - A candlelit feast will be served on the jungle deck. 7:30PM - Cake 8:00PM - Bonfire - If you play an instrument, and can jam, this is your moment to shine.

Corcovado Excursion

Attire - Jungle Ready
Breakfast and dinner will be provided at Villa Mayana today. Lunch will be provided during the park tour. Our group will be taking a private tour of the country's largest and most wild national park. The trip will include ground transportation by car, ocean transportation by speedboat, and a several hour guided leisurely hike (described by the guides as a stroll). We anticipate seeing a wide variety of wildlife on this excursion! Wear or bring your most comfortable shoes for walking. Sandals are not advised for the "stroll" through the jungle, but shoes you can take off easily are a good idea. There are NO boat docks, so we will get our feet wet getting in and out of the boat. Bring sunglasses, a waterproof jacket, sunscreen, and a waterproof case for your camera/phone if you plan to use it. Midday rain is common in this area.

Departure
11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Breakfast will be our final meal together on the property. Our entire group will be departing by motor coach together at 11:00AM from Villa Mayana to San Jose. The group of 14 who are flying together will depart on Avianca flight 670 departing at 5:00pm. Charlotte and Brent will spend one night in San Jose and depart the following day.
