Meet our family and friends who are helping us walk down the aisle

Hannah Yuvienco

Maid of Honor

Hannah and I have been friends for 10 years! It's crazy that we've reached double digits but it's a true reflection of how important she is to me. We first met our freshmen year when she lived across from Lyle's dorm. We bonded over our similar goals, family upbringing, and sense of humor. Then we ended up being roommates and stayed roommates from sophomore year all the way till our senior year of college! She has seen Lyle and I grow from friends to a couple. Hannah has been there for me for all of the highs and the lows of my life and supported me no matter what. I couldn't think of anyone better to be my maid of honor for this big day in our lives!

Scott Nolasco

Best Man

Growing up together, Scott and I share so many similarities in the way we talk, think, and speak. Between the way be both make the same loud obnoxious noises at home (to the dismay of our mom), or the way we just randomly start saying the same sentence at the same time, it is clear we're cut from the same cloth. We enjoy many of the same things and we both tend to be easy-going when hanging out. Growing up, people would even ask us if we were twins because we both seemed too similar. I am really thankful to have someone like Scott as my best man!

Rebecca Upsher

Bridesmaid

Becky and I first met on Facebook where we were both keenly seeking out other students who were on the Kings College London health psychology masters course. Our friendship was cemented on enrolment day when we decided we wanted to explore the London bridge campus but took the bus on a 40min detour in the wrong direction (to a less desirable end of London...)! Luckily we had lots in common and had many things to talk about- mainly our love of psychology and Taylor Swift. We have been good friends since, getting each other through the master's degree year and life beyond! She played a huge role in helping me achieve my academic milestone, of course, I asked her to be a part of this milestone too!

Andrew Nolasco

Groomsman

Andrew and I are alike in many different ways. We can go on and on talking about cars, planes, video games, medical topics, and so many other topics that we share in common. There are so many things I feel like Andrew and I could spend hours enthusiastically discussing, which would bore anyone else around us (though we would be entertained!). Andrew is also someone who I can count on to help me out whenever I'm in a bind (usually related to my car breaking down, or if I'm just in general stranded somewhere without a car or bus to get me where I need to go). He is an all-around great friend and brother. I am really excited to have him in my wedding party.

Charlotte Andre

Bridesmaid

Charlotte is one of the most fun people to be around. I met her through her boyfriend, my future brother-in-law, Scott Nolasco! They are such a cute couple and through their relationship, Charlotte and I have become pretty close too. She has seen Lyle and I grow and she has been there for me every step of the way. It was a no brainer to have her in my wedding party!

John Slakey

Groomsman

John and I have spent countless hours hanging out all through medical school and afterward. We met through a mutual friend and I knew that in John a friend who was always loyal, reliable, and somehow always seemingly able to hang out (despite all his medical school and relationship obligations). I couldn't tell you how much time we spent hiking, playing board games, playing card games, grabbing dinner out somewhere, or just, in general, cracking open a drink and talking. It always seemed like despite the stress I felt during medical school, John was there to show me that there was always time to relax and enjoy life, while still being able to manage medical school obligations. So happy to have John in my wedding party!

Deborah Ko

Bridesmaid

Life is cyclical—on her first day at McCann, Deb had the joy of breaking it to me that my supervisor was quitting and 2 years later, I sat her down and broke the news her boss was quitting from her new job! We’ve always nursed each other and bonded over the good, the bad, the inane, and the insane. She also played a role in my relationship too -- she painted my nails the night before Lyle proposed! It's clear she needs to be a part of the day too.

Rohan Ahluwalia

Groomsman

My brother from another mother (but really though)! I met Rohan shortly after I had met Momo, and I have been grateful that he has welcomed me into the Ahluwalia family. The more I got to know about Momo, the more I have gotten to know Rohan. We share a similar sense of humor and often found ourselves laughing at the same jokes. I've found Rohan to be such an easy-going and go-with-the-flow kind of guy, and just an easy to be around kind of person. I can't wait to get to know him more and spend more time hanging out with him going forward! Also really looking forward to celebrating with him on the wedding day!

Sakshi Takyar

Junior Bridesmaid

Sakshi and I have a lot of fun times together when I see her in England. She may be my cousin but I see her as my little sister. Her and I share many of the same qualities: Decisive, sassy, and a heart of gold. Sakshi always brings light to any room she enters and anyone who is around her instantly feels happier. That is why she needs to be at our wedding. We love Sakshi and need her joy to bring happiness to our wedding.
