Do you know about “The invisible string theory”? It is said the universe will keep two people apart until the timing is right. When they finally meet, there will be so many coincidences in the timing, but if one thing would have fallen out of line, they would have never crossed paths. But the universe aligns, and they will realize that everything that they just went through before they met, was just preparing their heart for them. This was exactly what took place between us. All the times we should have met, connected by the same people but yet we didn’t. Joshua and I attended the same university, Texas Tech. For four years we wandered the same buildings, the same halls and the same spaces without even knowing of each other. It wasn’t until January 8th 2023 in which our paths finally crossed. It all started through a simple add on snapchat, which at first seemed like nothing. Just two strangers wanting to expand their horizons and meet new people. Throughout the days of texting each other and getting to know the person on the other side of the screen, we became friends. We finally decided to meet each other 2 weeks later in which Joshua decided to prepare me a full course meal. After that day we became inseparable and spent so much time together that he became a best friend to me. The time we spent together was timeless and he quickly became a significantly important person in my life. Fast forward to August 4th of 2023 when he asked me to be his girlfriend. The start of our beautiful relationship, a relationship in which we have spent most of our time in separate cities Houston and Dallas, Texas. Through thick and thin we have survived the trenches and hardships of a long distance relationship of 2 years. On October 31, 2025, Joshua popped the question in front of family and friends in which I said yes. Just like that everything else is part of history. ¿Conoces la “teoría del hilo invisible”? Se dice que el universo mantendrá a dos personas separadas hasta que el momento sea el adecuado. Cuando finalmente se encuentren, habrá tantas coincidencias en el tiempo que, si una sola cosa hubiera estado fuera de lugar, nunca se habrían cruzado. Pero el universo se alinea, y se darán cuenta de que todo lo que vivieron antes de conocerse solo estaba preparando sus corazones el uno para el otro. Esto fue exactamente lo que sucedió entre nosotros. Todas las veces que debimos habernos encontrado, conectados por las mismas personas y aun así no lo hicimos. Joshua y yo asistimos a la misma universidad, Texas Tech. Durante cuatro años recorrimos los mismos edificios, los mismos pasillos y los mismos espacios sin siquiera saber el uno del otro. No fue hasta el 8 de enero de 2023 que nuestros caminos finalmente se cruzaron. Todo comenzó con un simple agregado en Snapchat, que al principio parecía nada. Solo dos desconocidos queriendo ampliar sus horizontes y conocer gente nueva. A lo largo de los días escribiéndonos y conociendo a la persona al otro lado de la pantalla, nos hicimos amigos. Finalmente decidimos conocernos en persona dos semanas después, y Joshua decidió prepararme una comida completa. Después de ese día nos volvimos inseparables y pasamos tanto tiempo juntos que se convirtió en mi mejor amigo. El tiempo que compartimos era invaluable y rápidamente se volvió una persona sumamente importante en mi vida. Avanzando hasta el 4 de agosto de 2023, cuando me pidió que fuera su novia. El inicio de nuestra hermosa relación, una relación en la que hemos pasado la mayor parte del tiempo en ciudades separadas: Houston y Dallas, Texas. En las buenas y en las malas, hemos superado las dificultades y los retos de una relación a distancia durante dos años. El 31 de octubre de 2025, Joshua me propuso matrimonio frente a familiares y amigos, y yo dije que sí. Y así, todo lo demás forma parte de la historia.
