We are getting married! this time with all our family present.

Our first date was at a sushi restaurant called Osaka. James showed up a little early just to make sure he wasn’t late. The waiter came by and asked “Can I get you something to drink?”. James said “No thank you I'm just going to wait for my date before I order anything." After about 15 minutes the waiter came back and said “Are you sure I can’t get you anything?”. He was almost hinting it’s okay if she didn’t show up. Just then Monica entered the room. The waiter gave James a surprised yet happy smirk. Monica sat down and they talked and got to know each other until the restaurant closed. Little did they know that this date would lead to a lifelong adventure together.

Celebrating our anniversary and Valentine’s day in Puerto Rico James felt it was the perfect trip to propose to his princess. Originally he planned to propose during the sunset from the cliffs overlooking the ocean in one of the lookouts that San Juan offers, but the cloudy weather had other plans… So he waited, for a beautiful sunny day and decided to propose to his princess in Castillo San Felipe del Morro, just like a prince would do. Moni's first response was "Are you crazy? My hair is going to be everywhere!" then we kissed and told our families what they were anxiously waiting to hear: WE ARE ENGAGED! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.

Right at the beginning of a worldwide pandemic, we picked a beautiful spot in one of our favorites cities, Annapolis, MD. We said our vows to each other and with our families and friends as witnesses (some in person, some virtually) we said yes for the first time. Since then we started thinking of how beautiful it would be to celebrate this love with the hugs and the smiles from all our loved ones present. See you in Colombia Tierra Querida!
