$$ The cheapest to fly into, but is it a 4-hour drive. 4 hours sounds daunting, but I promise it is a beautiful drive! And you'll get to go over the continental divide... how cool! Google Cottonwood pass... stunning. You will see why we love it here. There are also shuttles available!

$$$ Less than a 2-hour drive, a gorgeous drive, and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is on the way. There are also shuttles available from this airport to Crested Butte!

The town is small, and it will be [near] peak leaf peeping, so I suggest being proactive in finding a place to stay. (sorry...) There are two areas to stay - up by Crested Butte Mountain Resort, and Crested Butte proper/the town. The area by the resort is anywhere from 10-20 minutes away, depending on your location. The Crested Butte proper is either a 5- to 10-minute drive or a 10-to 20-minute walk, depending on how adventurous you are. It tends to be more cost-effective to stay near the resort. Although we will not be providing transportation or reserving hotel rooms, a free shuttle service is available to transport you from the resort area to the town. It runs from 7:30 am to 11:30 pm. But larger Airbnb/VRBOs in town could end up being the most cost-effective and convenient. Feel free to reach out to us or collab together if you want to pursue this option. Uber and Lyfts do not seem to be reliable, unfortunately. There will be plenty of room in the driveway for cars, but we want everyone to get home safely. If there is interest, I can look into arranging transportation to the resort. :)
