I met Amber when she walked into Luxe Redux with her mom, Pam, while searching for her own wedding dress! After seeing each other for multiple appointments, we met up outside of the boutique, and quickly became best friends! I actually met Dan while on Amber's bachelorette weekend trip! If it wasn't for her friendship, I would have never met Dan!

My little sister! She may be 4 years younger, but I still look up to her for everything she's accomplished. We grew up in a small town, going hunting and fishing with our dad, gardening with our mom, and playing in the woods around our house. Between college and life changes, we lived apart for 6 years, but now we are both living in Columbus and I'm so happy we can be closer together again.

Mariah and I met through work! Even though she lives in Houston, TX, distance has never been an issue for our friendship. From work trips to personal visits, Mariah has always been a friend that I can call for support, laugh with, and always look up to for her kind heart. She is truly such a gem + one of the best people I know!

I met Amanda through my mutual friendship with Amber! We were roomies on Amber's bachelorette trip and have been friends ever since. From going out in downtown Pittsburgh, to visiting her + Chris at their new home in Charleston, SC, Amanda has always been such a sweet and inspiring friend. Her ambition and drive is amazing + I'm so lucky to call her one of my best friends!

I met Jenn through her relationship with Isaac, Dan's brother. We could not have been more thrilled when she made us aunt + uncle and brought sweet Ellie into the world. Jenn is an amazing mother and a wonderful sister-in-law. Her and Isaac both have made me feel so welcomed as a new part of the family!
Isaac Ackerman
Best Man
Dan's younger (but not smaller) brother and best friend! Always pushing and competing with eachother since they were young playing various sports. I have him to thank for helping me develop a strong work ethic- a necessity in order to keep up with him as he outgrew me in size (and skill admittedly). Even though its been tough not being able to see eachother as much as we'd like living a state or two away, it has made our communication and relationship closer over the past number of years; I know he's only a phone call away if I ever need to talk to him. Monica and I are also excited to be the best aunt and uncle to Ellie!

An awkward first meeting in elementry school (Dan's doing) that still flourished into a friendship; ask him about the Piccolo lol. They played baseball together in High School and were in many of the same math/science classes; Esko also went on to become a Mechanical Engineer.
Mike Panek

Dan and Mike met the first week of College at Iowa State in their Freshman Chemistry class, eventually joining the same FIJI Fraternity and working through Mechanical Engineering courses together. Dan also has Mike to thank for introducing him to Wyatt.
Wyatt Burns

Dan met Wyatt Freshman year of college through Mike. He also joined FIJI and was in many of the same Mechanical Engineering courses. Wyatt helped Dan plan the proposal in Maine (Thanks Wyatt!), where he and his wife, Lauren, now live.
