One of our favorite parks to visit since Monica's time doing a rural rotation in Granby, just south of one of the park's entrances. Approximately 1 1/2 -2 hour’s drive from our hotel blocks, this national park is the number one attraction in Colorado, and for a good reason. With hundreds of peaks, countless lakes, forests, and meadows, there are so many ways to explore. However, for your Colorado wedding guests who may not have too much free time on their hands, we suggest driving the Trail Ridge Road (if open) through the park, which offers stops along the way to take in all the Rocky Mountains have to offer.
Downtown is more than a former gold-rush-era town from the 1850s. Today, shoppers visit outdoor gear stores to pick up supplies for their next adventures while curious visitors stroll the streets to enjoy Golden’s public art, and friends gather to drink locally-crafted beer at the end of a day of fun and sun. Golden’s historical architecture, Western-style atmosphere, and mountainous landscape give it the charm of a town that has learned to slow down life a little bit and enjoy every moment while embracing the future as a growing hub of community, culture, and innovation.

Casa Bonita is a quirky Mexican restaurant in Lakewood. The restaurant has attracted a cult following among Colorado residents since its opening and was recently renovated and reopened by the South Park creators. The South Park episode "Casa Bonita" prominently features the Colorado branch of the restaurant.
As the tallest of our Golden, CO, parks, Lookout Mountain stands more than 7,300 feet above Golden, just west of downtown. Known for its beautiful natural splendor and breathtaking views, a hike or drive up to its peak will be worth every moment. Once you reach the top, you’ll find clear views of the Rocky Mountains, the city of Denver in the distance, and the sweeping landscape in between.
Chautauqua Trail is a 1.2-mile out-and-back path and is an extremely high-trafficked attraction. Both tourists and locals use this trail to hike straight through the heart of the historic Chautauqua Meadow and gaze upon the majestic Flatirons.
