Do I have to ride a shuttle?

Answer

Yes, due to the mountain-top and forested location guests are required to ride the shuttle. There is very limited parking at the venue that is mostly reserved for vendors. We also want guests to enjoy our bar/celebration responsibly. Please reach out to Monica or Crys to discuss an exception if needed.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We politely request black colored (for a cohesive look) black-tie optional attire. Formal attire required. Please reach out with any questions. Men can wear tuxedos or dark suits (think: your very best suit, preferably black and custom-tailored). Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

No. We will have a social-media minute during our ceremony. Other than that, please put your phones away and be present during the celebration. P.S. Monica has threatened to throw any phones off the deck if she sees them apart from the dedicated time during the ceremony. Seriously, just don't.

What time should I arrive?

We are planning for the shuttles to run so guests arrive by 4:15 for a 4:30 ceremony start time.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Due to space/constraints and to ensure safety, we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors. The cocktail hour will be on the deck with a partially covered patio area. The reception will occur indoors with access to the deck/patio.

What is the venue altitude? Will I have trouble breathing?

Answer

The venue sits just below 9,000 feet in elevation. To prevent altitude sickness, we encourage guests to drink water regularly. We also offer oxygen at the bar if guests are having trouble adjusting to the elevation.

Are there other accommodation options?

Answer

Are there accommodations nearby? Yes! We encourage you to stay at one of the room blocks as shuttles are unable to pick-up guests from other locations. There are hotels 25 minutes away in Evergreen, 30 minutes away in Black Hawk, 30 minutes away in Golden, 30 min away in Georgetown and 30-40 minutes away in Denver. If alternate lodging is necessary, you can consider the new Wyndham Microtel in Georgetown, or any of the Black Hawk hotels like Ameristar or Monarch. In downtown Evergreen there's a bunch of really cute boutique hotels, and there's quite a few airbnb/vrbo options near the venue on Little Bear Creek Rd and closer to or in Idaho Springs.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by Mexican inspired stations, sides, and desserts. Signature cocktails, beer, and wine will be provided throughout the event.
