David & Janice Almond are blessed by God. Married for 46 years they are faithful stewards of God’s grace. Monica’s life has been shaped by her parent’s prayers and their faithfulness to God and His Word. Founders of Lost Lives Matter, their desire is for all to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Preachers, teachers, community servants, and entrepreneurs, they are wholly committed to their children and their children’s children. We are so blessed to have Reverend David Almond, Sr. officiate our wedding and to have Momma Janice by his side.

Justice is Monica's heart. Her only child, her Budha Bear, Lady J, GIANT, and Legacy-she's her Why. 19 years of rolling together from the East Coast to the West Coast and back again, Justice has been the inspiration for Monica's endeavors and is the motivation behind her dreams. An incredible friend, loving daughter, compassionate human being, and actress/comedienne extraordinaire--she lights up every room she walks in!

One of Cedric’s closest friends, Ken is a brother, uncle, father, husband, Army retired, and God-fearing man. He plays a big role in Cedric’s life supporting him in every area. From serving at church, date nights with his future wife, praying together, and being a might man of valour, Kenneth has always spoke the word of God over and into Cedric’s life.
Sharron Rouse
Matron of Honor
Sharron has been a spiritual midwife to Monica throughout the course of her courtship and is one of her closest friends and confidants. She is a wife, a mother, a trailblazer, and an advocate for warriors fighting kidney disease. Monica met Sharron at their church, Victory Christian Ministries, International. Their chemistry blossomed once they learned they were not only sisters in Christ, but also sorority sisters and they've been tied to the hip ever since--growing both their capacity for ministry and the marketplace in sync.
Stephen Maybank

Sometime shortly after birth Cedric’s older brother Stephen ate the bible! So conversations with Stephen are always meaningful, educational, spiritual and something that is not to be taken lightly. Born in Jamaica, married for more than 25 years, a proud father, a proud grandfather, and U.S. Army veteran, Stephen is the example of the man all fathers desire for their daughters to bring home.

Cedric’s eldest—Y’nya is a multilingual + multicultural intellect and food enthusiast. Currently pursuing her undergraduate studies, she’ll soon dominate her industry of choice. Give her a few years!

David is Monica’s oldest brother. He’s probably one of the most intelligent people you’ll ever come across. He knows everything about everything! David is a worshipper, singer, and can play almost any instrument. A devoted husband, dad, and grandad, David has been instrumental in both Monica & Justice’s lives.

Kirsten, Monica's sister-in-love, is a wife, mommy, grandmommy, and worshipper. She is an all-around Holy-Ghost-filled minister of the gospel who spreads the love of Christ with ease. One of Monica's fondest memories is participating in a worship set Kirsten led at her church in California. It's a memory etched in time that needs an encore!

Monica’s brother Timothy (Tim) is a husband, father, worshipper, and attorney. He’s played a significant role in Monica’s life, particularly the times he’s stood in the gap as a father figure in the life of her daughter, Justice.

Diana, Monica's sister-in-love, has been loving on her for nearly 20 years and it has been an amazing love exchange. A tri-lingual mastermind, she's a wife, mommy of 3, daughter, sister, auntie, and friend. She loves Jesus and is an amazing cook and can do 500 things at one time and make it all look and taste good! Diana is tasked with helping Monica learn to cook meals for her future hubby!

Monica’s baby brother, Eric is passionate about people and life. As an advocate for historically underrepresented groups—Eric’s compassionate nature is palpable and it’s impact is felt in every person he mentors and counsels. Monica has always been protective of her baby bro!
Kisha Cook

Never to be underestimated, Kisha is an entrepreneurial powerhouse, mother of two teens (2 at the same time!), and soon to be Mrs. Kisha and Monica go back to their OC high school days. Like White on rice they’ve been holding each other down—especially once they relocated to the same town in VA!
Duane Jones

Gardena California allowed it’s favorite son to leave. Serving 20+ years in the U.S. Navy, Duane became a proud father, proud grandfather and married San Diego’s most beautiful woman. Duane is Cedric’s brother from another father, and mother. Comedically approaching life is Duane’s specialty, but he has a serious streak when it comes to providing for, covering, and loving his family.

Kesha is a wife, mother, and a friend that sticks closer than a brother (sister)! She is loyal, devoted, selfless, and consistent. Her and Monica met via their church, Victory Christian Ministries International, and became fast friends. They have laughed together, prayed and fasted together (with regularity), cried together, chased unknown bandits together, and enjoyed the beach together! Kesha saw Monica's story unfold in the spirit before it came to life in the earth.
Kimberly Gomillion

You'll find Kimberly slain in the Spirit somewhere on somebody's floor! She is a fire-starter and warrior bride who has breathed life into Monica over the past few years as a forerunner. She has stood in the gap interceding and speaking life over her during her greatest times of need--and there have been MANY! She is devoted and selfless through and through and is embarking upon her own journey to the altar as a bride to be!
Emmanuel Almond

Monica’s nephew, Emmanuel (also known as Manu), is a determined God-fearing young man. Everything Manu puts his hands to do, prospers. He’s a successful high school student and soccer player and enjoys spending time with his Cali friends as well as his newfound friends in Florida. You’ll find him strollin somewhere with headphones in tow.
