Matron of Honor

Danae and Monet met at Fresno State, at the start of their freshman year in 2013. They were both a part of the Smittcamp Family Honors College, and became fast friends, and then later roomates. The two have enjoyed trips both near and far, line dancing, coffee and burrito outings, study parties, and more recently, long-distance Face-times to catch up on life! Danae lives in Downey, CA with her husband John and baby girl Brynn!

Elizabeth (Lizz) Mesa Castillo

Lizz and Monet have been friends for over 20 years! The two danced together at Clovis Stars Dance since they were little toddlers, and then later attended school together at Clark Intermediate and Clovis High School. As kids, the pair was inseparable, and even convinced multiple friends they were related as cousins. As adults, Lizz and Monet love going to concerts, sharing dance videos, and remain like family.

Laurel Gomes

Laurel has become the sister Monet never had! They first met when Laurel began dating Monet's brother Niko in 2007. Laurel and Monet love talking about animals (Laurel is a veterinarian) and sparing no details, even during times the average person would be grossed out. Monet has loved going to visit Niko in Laurel (and their daughters Elise and Irene) in San Antonio over the years, and is looking forward to seeing their new house in Denver!

Natalie Harris

Natalie and Monet met when they began graduate school in 2017 at Auburn University. They have been good friends during both their masters and PhD programs and even lived together for two years. Monet and Natalie share a love of animals and spend a lot of their time together having their dogs play (Ember, Omen, and Yogi). They also love trying new restaurants, antiquing, and trying new craft projects.

Michael Goethlich

As his older brother and only sibling, Mike has been a lifelong role model to Jamie. They've always been close, and even when Jamie has been across the country for school or work, they make it a point to spend time together as often as they can. From 4 wheeling in the mud as kids in their backyard to the backcountry hunting trips, it's always been an adventure. Each spring you'll find them making their annual migration out to their family's sugarbush in knee deep snow to engage in their other shared tradition/obsession, making maple syrup. Mike lives in Butternut, WI with his wife Saxony and daughters Elanor and Maura.

Cole Goethlitch

Jamie has always been close with his cousin Cole. The two of them grew up just down the road from one another and Jamie frequently pops in to visit Cole when he is in town. The two of them love to celebrate their favorite holiday--the Wisconsin Deer Season during Thanksgiving week. They have a longstanding tradition of going on deer drives with a group of family and friends every year, getting very little sleep, and driving all over the state. Jamie will never miss this week that has produced so many hilarious, dramatic, and infamous stories. Cole lives in Butternut, WI with his wife Chrystle, and two sons Carter and Cameron.

Nikolas (Niko) Gomes

As Monet's older brother, Niko has been there for Monet since Day 1 (after he finished crying about getting a sister and not a brother). The two have always had one another's back, whether that meant attending as many of the others sporting/dance events as possible, or traveling to visit each other out of state. Underneath the sibling banter, they are always there for one another to talk, laugh, or make jokes of whatever life brings their way. Niko lives in the greater Denver, CO area with his wife Laurel and daughters Elise and Irene.

Nicholas (Nick) Deig

Nick is one of both Jamie and Monet's best friends. The three of them were inseparable during graduate school. They all shared an office and Jamie even lived with Nick. The three of them connect over a passion for good food, dogs, hunting, wildlife and the outdoors. They have camped together, trained for backpacking together (brutal, type 2 fun), traveled together for wildlife work, studied together, and Jamie and Nick have even gone on multiple hunting trips across three different states together. Nick lives in Birmingham, AL, with his wife Celeste, newborn twin daughters Emma and Isabel, and labs Artemis and Trigger.

Elise is 5 and such a fun personality to be around. She loves princesses, dresses and skirts, doing nails and makeup, writing and drawing, singing and dancing, and gymnastics!

Irene is 2 and a half and so much fun! She loves to sing and dance, swim, pet dogs, and play with her sister Elise!
