Mona, a California native, moved to NYC over a decade ago where she now works as a director of social impact at a global law firm. When she isn't running around the city, she's looking for her next international destination (bonus if they have free roaming cats). Her favorite thing about Michael is his love for family, friends and fur babies.

Michael, an upstate New York native, is a doctor completing his ophthalmology residency in New Orleans. When he isn't poking patient's eyeballs with needles, he's tending lovingly to his one million houseplants. His favorite thing about Mona is her dedicated, whole hearted approach to all things big and small.

Michael and Mona's first date was in April 2023 at a jazz bar in the West Village where they met for a game of chess. Mona talked big game, until Michael checkmated her in a minute. She expressed outrage…but was deep down impressed. They only had a few months together in NYC before Michael was due to move to New Orleans to begin his ophthalmology residency. Despite the distance ahead, they chose to remain together, knowing what they had was worth holding onto. Two years later, while hiking the Inca Trail in Peru, Michael proposed to Mona at the top of the Andes Mountains, overlooking Machu Picchu. It was a magical moment marking the beginning of their next chapter - one they’re so excited to share with you.
