Maid of Honor
1996. Maybe the hospital, but likely home in Aldan. Megan's built-in best friend, roommate for 13 years, on again off again housemate for 23, the BEST little sister. Anyone would tell you Megan & Maria are very different, but what you can’t see is that they share all the stuff that matters, that counts. Fun Fact: She’s a guitar-picking, song singing, YouTube watching, props building, theater stage designing, d&d playing, talented chick. Back in the day, Megan and Maria had a band called ‘The Rascal Sisters’ and had written and performed too many songs about too many embarrassing pre-teen things to ever admit.
Maid of Honor
2000. St. Joes. Miss Scartozzi's first grade class. Melissa remembers Megan putting a note in their mutual crush's school bag and blaming Melissa .... which may have very much happened. The start of a beautiful best-friendship. Fun Fact: Melissa & Megan have been to 20+ Jonas Brothers concerts together. Their dedication going as far as sending a letter signed by their teacher to the JoBro’s agent back in 2008 asking them to perform at their 8th grade graduation dance.
Bridesmaid
2005. Christopher hosts friends scavenger hunt at our house. Ashley is there. Megan thinks she is pretty. Soon enough Ashley is babysitting Megan and Maria. They call her their sisttaaa and 8 years later she becomes the real deal. Ashley is the most down-to-earth girl you know, and she is always ready for a good time involving music. Fun Fact: Ashley & Megan learned how to twirl fire together and planned to perform at Ashley and Christopher’s wedding reception! The logistics just weren’t lining up (wedding dress, tequila, fire hazard, ya know), but they’ll prove their abilities to anyone who doubts them!
Bridesmaid
2009. Prendie Cheer. Jess mentions having to pick up her "annoying little brother” who Megan ironically met and started dating within the year. After ten years of knowing Megan, Jess finally admits (late night at the annual crab party in good ole sea isle city) that she and Jill made up a song and dance routine to Megan's full name to tease Danny for liking a girl. Fun Fact: Jess lost her only child status at the ripe age of 13 months young & with Danny being the new infant in town, she graduated from 1 to full blown big sister-caretaker very quickly. Ask to watch the home video where Danny is picked up over the baby gate by his mom and Jess is left to set herself free by climbing up onto and over their sofa.
Bridesmaid
2010. Danny ran into his house quickly while Megan waited in the car in his driveway. 11-year old Jilly spotted 15-year old Megan as she walked up the front lawn. They exchanged an awkward, confused wave, since Jill had no clue why a random girl was in her driveway, and it became less and less awkward ever since. Fun Fact: Jill has two of the most impressive party tricks of all time - ask her to name the Duggar’s in age order or (if you have a bit more time) to recite Forrest Gump from start to finish. Jill also had a special talent for sneaking out of the house and around the block as a toddler!
Bridesmaid
1997. Baby Kathryn started following her big cousin, Megan, around their Grandmom and Poppop's house from the moment she could crawl. Megan didn't mind it one bit and she hasn’t quit since. Kathryn wears her heart on her sleeve and thinks everyone is more hilarious than they actually are. If you need a self esteem booster, go chat with this chick at the wedding! Fun Fact: Kathryn had an impressive, but embarrassingly intense Nike shoe collection phase circa 2007-2010. She realized she had a problem when Footlocker finally offered to sponsor her (before Instagram was a thing)!!
Bridesmaid
2000. Megan C. lived around the corner, 2 houses in. Gymnastics and dance routines in the front yard to "show off" to cars and baby dolls in the living room (sometimes against Megan M's will). “Megan and Megan” became our combined name & we graduated to trampoline jumpin’, Bernie’s pretzels and water ice walkin’, and lap swimmin’. Fun Fact: Megan C blocked Megan M’s scheduled first kiss by calling and starting a fight - all and only because she didn’t want to be the last one in our friend group to smooch a boy.
Bridesmaid
2012. West Chester's online 'roommate finder.' Jess recognized a fellow delco, catholic high school girl and thought Megan seemed normal enough to live with from her FB profile pic. During their four years under the same roof, Jess became the never failing, always consistent “how was your day?” conversation that Megan could count on. Fun Fact: During their first night out in college, everyone swore Megan and Jess were twins and it’s never really stopped. Even Danny has mistaken Jess for Meg from behind! Big hint to him for the wedding: Megan will be the one in white.
Bridesmaid
2012. West Chester. Megan met Gracie as a fellow 'six pack' roomie and gained immediate respect once she saw that Grace had longer hair than her. A few weeks into freshmen year, Grace and Megan quickly became Sunday mass buddies at Newman together. Fun Fact/Warning: If ever going out with Grace, ensure you bring a third friend. This girl is gold and talks to anyone and everyone. She’s infamous for her disappearance acts in a crowd.
Junior Bridesmaid
2010. Megan first learned about Miabella as Danny's god-daughter when they were first getting to know each other (cute god-father brag, am I right?) She met Mia for the first time as a 2 year-old in Wildwood, NJ who loved playing hide-and-seek. Now, 11 year-old Mia loves unicorns, music and leggos and is a super talented artist. Fun Fact: Miabella is a major Pittsburgh Steelers fan (and Danny and Megan still love her).
Flower Girl
2013. West Chester. Megan had the honor of being this little lady's nanny beginning when she was just 2-years old. They loved their days together playing, dancing, painting, riding the WC parking garage elevators in their strollers, eating cheese and turkey and learning as they went. Marie is now a brave, beautiful, compassionate, too smart and talented for her own good 7-year old. This one is going to move mountains.
Best Man
Kenny and Danny met in 1992 shortly after Kenny was born. Many life experiences were shared between these two, ranging from getting in trouble in kindergarten together (mostly Kenny), Kenny cutting his mullet, getting scolded for drinking in the woods, graduating Bonner, introducing Danny to Megan, and now serving as Danny's best man! Fun Fact: Kenny has dressed as Aladdin for Halloween exactly 28 times in his life. Kenny is only 27.
Groomsman
The first time Chris drove Megan to Danny’s house Danny was nervous as hell to meet her older brother. A mere 10 years have passed since that night, and so has Danny's first Beaver Island trip, Chris's own wedding, a tour of what the cool kids in Nashville (his home) do, a pregnancy announcement, and many good times in between! Fun fact: Chris one time drove the 17 hours home from Beaver island, Michigan in just under 12 hours. Ask the state trooper who pulled us over.
Groomsman
If Danny's older cousin Steve's could rattle off the top thing he's done in life, it would be introducing Danny to Guinness. Not getting married, having a child, and building a life.. You read that correctly.. Guinness. Since Danny and Steve lived across the street from each other for roughly 10 years, it made hanging out easy and convenient, while making a ton of memories along the way. They also enjoy talking sports, and going to Eagles games together. Fun Fact: Steve was the starting center for his 1998 Parade of Champions CYO football team. Way to go Steve!
Groomsman
Another one of Danny's older cousins, Jason and Danny grew tighter once Danny moved onto Gleaves aka Clement Road. Both avid fans of Bud Light, the Flyers, and Eagles, these two will often mistaken a Sunday in the fall for a Saturday. Many great times were and still are had by hanging out in Sea Isle City, NJ, family functions, and sitting by the pool in the summertime! Fun Fact: Jason won the belly flop contest at the Clement's Father's Day BBQ in 2017.
Groomsman
Mike is yet another one of Danny's older cousins and have been friends as far back as he can remember. Mike and Danny can be found hanging out in Media or kicking it at family parties and often post family parties. They enjoy talking sports and cracking jokes whenever they get the chance. Fun Fact: Mike could beat Forrest Gump in a game of Ping Pong.
Groomsman
Hamer and Clem have known each other since 1st grade at St. Charles and even went to the same high school and colleges together. By my math, that's 20 years of knowing each other. They have grown up playing on the same sports teams, hanging out on the weekends, and everything else in between. Hamer might know more random facts about Danny than Megan.. Hamer, what's my 3rd favorite movie? Fun Fact: Hamer holds the record for longest consecutive detention days at St. Charles, which was founded shortly after the Civil War. Ask him about library class when we were discussing roman mythology in 5th grade.
Groomsman
Bob and Clem have been friends since 1st grade at St. Charles - 20 years! They've played sports together for most of their lives, and still continue to be the washed up baseball players they are playing softball in the summer. They've spent time together in their once shared apartment complex in Media, Sea Isle City, NJ, and on the golf course. Fun fact: Bob is famous for eating takeout wings in his car because he can't wait until he gets home. We've also never seen an Eagles loss when Bob hosts the game.
Groomsman
When the Power Rangers morphed and combined to form Megazord is a similar depiction of when St. Charles and St. Joe's kids formed a friends group our freshman year at Bonner. Many nights were spent in a close friends basement, Miller's Ale House, and I can't forget to mention the rusty old Red Lantern. Guidera and Clem also enjoy heading out to the shooting range together in their spare time. Fun Fact: Guidera missed The Fray concert in 2008 because he had the Swine Flu.
Groomsman
Kev and Danny met back in first grade at St. Charles and grew up playing football and baseball at SCS together. Nowadays they can be on the golf course with the crew, where they have to handicap Kev, or locking down the left side of the infield on the summer softball team. Fun Fact: At the reception, someone ask Kev to shotgun a beer and you'll understand. That is all.
Groomsman
Ryan and Danny met the same day that Ryan was thrusted into meeting the entire Clement family at the annual Sea Isle Clem Bake. They didn't know at the time that they would be future brother-in-laws, but since then there's been many nights (too many nights) hanging out in the garage until the sun came up or just kicking it while watching an Eagles game. Fun Fact: Gravity tends to pull a bit harder on Ryan than the average person, especially if some drinks are involved.
Ring Bearer
2013. West Chester. Megan had the honor of being this little man's nanny beginning when he was just 2-years old. They loved their days together playing, dancing, pretending to be superheros, going to the park, eating eggs and peanut butter sandwiches and learning as they went. Henry is now a strong, handsome, protective, kind and funny 7-year old. This one's emotional-intelligence is bound to improve the lives of everyone around him.
Parents of the Bride
For all you’ve been, all you are, and all you’ll ever be to me — thank you isn’t enough. I love you both & my gratitude for you as my life bearers, first caregivers, teachers and role models knows no limit. You gave me a life so many others aren’t fortunate enough to have, and I know it hasn’t always been easy. I appreciate the values you instilled of caring for others, seeing a situation from all perspectives, offering myself as a source of help whenever my talents could be useful, and spending as many precious moments with family as possible, whether they lived a half hour or a 12 hour drive away. I carry these with me and will hold them close to my heart for the rest of my life. Your support of Danny & me from the beginning of our relationship to now planning our wedding is everything.
Parents of the Groom
Frank Sinatra once sang, "And pick yourself up, dust off, start over again". My parents then succeeded in having a second child who would bring them happiness! Since 1991, it’s been nothing but a bed of roses…kind of. Maybe Dandelions. On a serious note, I cannot thank my parents enough for all they’ve done for me. Catholic school wasn’t cheap, my mom probably wanted to sit down for 10 minutes instead of 5 after work before carting me to the next practice or game. Or my dad teaching me how to cut the lawn (I actually enjoy it) and showing me how cool history is. These are just some small examples I can fit within 800 characters. I cannot forget to mention the help and support for what will be the best weekend and night of mine and Megan’s lives, a possibility. I love you guys!
