There are many ways to get to Mittelbergheim (where we live and are getting married) and Barr (the village next to us with more amenities) Here are a few options: 1. Fly to Paris, take the TGV (high speed train, you can catch in the Charles de Gaulle airport) to Strasbourg, and then the train to Barr, France. Barr & Andlau are the closest villages to Mittelbergheim with many hotels & airbnb's. 2. Fly to the Basel/Mulhouse airport (**Americans will still have a layover in Paris, Amsterdam or London). The Basel/Mulhouse Airport is 1/2 in Swiss 1/2 France. Rent a car OR take a taxi to Basel Train Station then train to Selestat/Barr. https://www.thetrainline.com/en-us https://www.rome2rio.com/ 3. Fly to Frankfurt, Germany (LOTS of airlines fly here) and then you can then rent a car and drive to the Mittelbergheim area (3 hours by car). Frankfurt has LOTS of airlines that fly directly to the airport! Especially if you are flying from the West Coast of the US, Alaska Airlines flies here! Check it out. Drive time from Frankfurt, Germany to Mittelbergheim, France or Barr is 3 hours.

Basel/Mulhouse Airport

Basel is the closest city to FLY into and then rent a car and drive to Mittelbergheim. (about 1 hour) There is also so much to see and do in Basel! Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

Again, so many flight options to Paris! The one thing YOU MUST KNOW: it is a 5 hour Drive from Paris to Mittelbergheim! You are better off taking the TGV high speed train OR a connecting flight to Basel.
