Molly had not been back to Mittelbergheim, France (the Alsace region) since Delphine & Robert's wedding in 2006. She decided to pay a visit to the Rubin family the summer of 2022 before the TV series, JULIA started up again in Boston. Upon her arrival her long-time friend Delphine took Molly on a hike thru the beautiful vineyards with a few friends, including Séverine. (***OLIVIER'S FRIEND!) Delphine and Séverine strongly suggested Molly meet this amazing Mittelbergheim local guy, Olivier Rudolf. Del started describing how great he was, loves to laugh, fun on the dance floor and their "jolie" time during the "Fete de Vin". Séverine has known Olivier for a few years and described him as a kind soul, who loves the outdoors, is VERY athletic, competes in Triathlons, loves to ski, ride his motorbikes etc.... Molly told them both point blank, "I can't date a French guy, I live in Boston in the USA! This is so silly. Thank you, but non merci." (Little did Molly know, Olivier said the same thing to Delphine & Séverine) But, as we know, Delphine doesn't take "No" for an answer. She introduced them one day later at a party she hosted in Mittelbergheim. The first moment Olivier and Molly met, there were instant fireworks. A few days later, they went on their first official date on the 9th of August, 2022. Olivier whisked Molly away from Chez Rubin that evening on his motorbike. He surprised Molly with a picnic in the mountains...it was magical and it was there that they knew..... (en français) Molly n'était pas retournée à Mittelbergheim, en France (région Alsace) depuis le mariage de Delphine et Robert en 2006. Elle a décidé de rendre visite à la famille Rubin à l'été 2022 avant que la série télévisée JULIA ne reprenne à Boston. À son arrivée, son amie de longue date Delphine a emmené Molly faire une randonnée à travers les magnifiques vignobles avec quelques amis, dont Séverine. (***L'AMI D'OLIVIER !) Delphine et Séverine ont fortement suggéré à Molly de rencontrer cet incroyable gars du coin de Mittelbergheim, Olivier Rudolf. Del a commencé à décrire à quel point il était génial, adore rire, s'amuser sur la piste de danse et leur « joli » moment pendant la « Fête du Vin ». Séverine connaît Olivier depuis quelques années et l'a décrit comme une âme bienveillante, qui aime le plein air, est TRÈS sportif, participe à des triathlons, adore skier, faire de la moto, etc. Molly leur a dit à tous les deux: "Je ne peux pas sortir avec un Français, j'habite à Boston aux USA! C'est tellement idiot. Merci, mais non merci." (Molly ne le savait pas, Olivier a dit la même chose à Delphine et Séverine) Mais, comme on le sait, Delphine n'accepte pas "Non" comme réponse. Elle les a présentés le lendemain lors d'une soirée qu'elle a organisée à Mittelbergheim. Dès le premier moment où Olivier et Molly se sont rencontrés, il y a eu un feu d'artifice instantané. Quelques jours plus tard, ils ont eu leur premier rendez-vous officiel le 9 août 2022. Olivier a emmené Molly loin de Chez Rubin ce soir-là sur sa moto. Il a surpris Molly avec un pique-nique dans les montagnes...c'était magique et c'est là qu'ils ont connu.....

One year later (August 9, 2023).....Olivier takes Molly on his motorbike back to the same first date picnic spot in the mountains to celebrate. Everything is perfect, and even better than the first time because it's a year later....Next thing, after wine, cheese, tomatoes, and charcuterie Olivier stands up to see if he can see the cows and the local creamery down below. He asks Molly where it is, she's surprised he doesn't know, but stands up anyway to show him. He tells her to keep standing and to close her eyes. She asks him "why?" And, what is going on? She is confused but, follows his instructions. When she opens her eyes, Olivier is down on one knee, with a ring in his hand and asks Molly, "Bebe, will you be my wife?" She immediately replies, "OUI!" (YES in French) At that moment it begins the rest of their lives together.... (en français) Un an plus tard (9 août 2023).....Olivier ramène Molly sur sa moto au même lieu de pique-nique du premier rendez-vous dans les montagnes pour célébrer. Tout est parfait, et encore mieux que la première fois car c'est un an plus tard... Ensuite, après le vin, le fromage, les tomates et la charcuterie, Olivier se lève pour voir s'il aperçoit les vaches et la crémerie locale en contrebas. Il demande à Molly où il se trouve, elle est surprise qu'il ne le sache pas, mais se lève quand même pour lui montrer. Il lui dit de rester debout et de fermer les yeux. Elle lui demande "pourquoi ?" Et que se passe-t-il ? Elle est confuse mais suit ses instructions. Lorsqu'elle ouvre les yeux, Olivier est à genoux, une bague à la main et demande à Molly : " Bébé, veux-tu être ma femme ? " Elle répond aussitôt : "OUI !" (OUI en français) A ce moment là commence le reste de leur vie ensemble....
