We're so glad you're here!

Michael and I met on Hinge my sophomore year of college at Avila. I thought for sure he was a catfish and decided to play his game. He asked if I was just in KC for school or if I was from the area. I told him I was from STL (which looking back on it probs wasn't the smartest move) and then asked him the same question. He quickly flexed on me by saying he'd just graduated with his masters and grew up in KC but he was moving to STL in a few weeks for work. I thought that was too good to be true but always believed my guardian angels would send my Prince Charming to me. After a few weeks of messaging back and forth we decided to meet up at Sugar Fire BBQ for our first date... problem was, I didn't clarify which one. We both thought we'd been stood up because we went to different locations. Michael graciously offered to come to the location I was at if I wanted to wait and of course I did. Being the avid crime junky that I am, I had us followed on our first date... and our second date... Once I learned that Michael in fact was not a catfish and felt safe enough on our first two dates, I decided to invite him to my sister's college graduation turned engagement party. Don't let Michael tell you different, because I did tell him she was getting engaged that day. He met most of my family that day and stuck around. Fast forward to December 16th 2022: We were at the Missouri Botanical Gardens for a double date night with my sister and cousin (she's not married to our cousin, her husband was sick so our cousin stepped in lol). We were at the end of the gardens path and wanted to take pictures under the mistletoe. I just so happened to turn around at the right time, I saw Michael drop down to his knee and I turned back to my sister. There was no way this was actually happening. I turned back to Michael and asked him about 17 times "are you serious?". I said yes and the rest is history.
