FAQs

Question

If I am traveling from out of the country, do I need a visa?

Answer

Yes! You will need to get an ETA visa before you travel to Australia. The easiest and fastest way to go about this is to download the AustralianETA app and apply that way. Although this is incredibly fast (I got mine within 15 minutes of applying), I would go through this process sooner rather than later (allow yourself at least 2 weeks) in case you run into any roadblocks.

Question

The Cove is in a national park. Do we need a park pass for entry?

Answer

Yes, you will need to purchase a park pass per vehicle for entry. You can purchase your pass online prior to coming at https://parksaustralia.gov.au/booderee/plan/park-passes/ or you are able to at the entry gate when you arrive!

Question

Will meals be provided during our stay?

Answer

We will be providing breakfast on the morning of the wedding and the morning after the wedding. Dinner will also be provided for the welcome night and the night of the wedding. Each person staying at the Cove will either have access to a kitchen in their cabin or a communal kitchen if they are staying in the glamping tents. You can feel free to bring whatever food, snacks, and beverages you'd like for anytime in between these meals!

Question

How do I get to The Cove from Sydney?

Answer

(Distance approximately 200 km, travel time 2.5 to 3.5 hours) Head south to Wollongong (we suggest either via the Princes Highway or the Hume Highway then turning off at the Picton Road exit), Kiama and Nowra to the Jervis Bay Road turnoff approximately 10km south of Nowra. Turn left into Jervis Bay Road then once on Jervis Bay Road follow it to the National Park gatehouse and Tourist Information Centre - 75 metres past the gatehouse turn right at the roundabout into Ellmoos Road and follow this road for 13km, bearing left at each intersection to The Cove Jervis Bay.
