Michael and I met back in January of 2016 bartending at the Wild Rover Hostel in Cusco, Peru after I quit my job as a teacher to go traveling with my best friends. After leaving the hostel (much needed for several reasons), Michael joined us in our travels around South America. At the end of our travels, Michael went to live and work in the UK and I went to live and work in Australia. He came home to visit his family for Christmas, and instead of returning to the UK to finish out his two-year visa, he moved to Melbourne where I was living and we started dating. We have traveled around Australia, living and traveling around in his Troopy, working at Cape York Camping in Queensland, traveling around Western Australia, and living in his home town of Helensburgh. Back in April of 2019, Michael moved to Colorado where we have been ever since. He proposed to me at the New Orleans Jazz fest and we officially got married a week later! After 4 years of postponing and replanning weddings (thanks Covid), we are finally having our wedding. Since getting married, we have gotten two dogs (Chimichanga & June) and we welcomed our sweet Hugo into the world (October 2022). We can't wait to celebrate with you all!
