From my cabin, how do I get to/from the venue site?

Answer

We will have a shuttle that takes guests from the venue after all the fun is wrapping up. Feel free to carpoool with your cabin to the wedding and get a shuttle back after! Your car will be fine on the property overnight.

How do I go about finding a place to stay?

Answer

Gather a group of friends/family and either book a cabin on Leatherwood's site that fits the size of your group, or peruse hotels in the Wilkesboro area! If splitting the cost of a cabin isn't your fancy, we will contact the nearest hotel and block off rooms for the dates of the wedding.

What about food for the weekend?

Answer

If you are staying at the Leatherwood Mountains Resort, there is a restaurant on the property. Food will be provided for those attending the rehearsal dinner and the reception. It's always a good idea to discuss snack/drink needs among the group you are attending with. The nearest grocery store is roughly a 15 minute drive, called Yadkin River Grocery.

If I choose to stay off-site in a hotel, will parking be available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! You will be directed once you arrive.

I've arrived at the resort. Now what?

Answer

There are many things to do once you get to Leatherwood Mountains Resort! You can choose from hiking, fishing, horseback riding, lounging in your cabin, and maybe even attending a wedding! For more information, please refer to leatherwoodmountains.com

How's the phone service?

Answer

Phone service is not so great up in the mountains. The way we look at it is this: once you're on the mountain, you're on the mountain. The only ones you'll need to talk to will already be there with you! That being said, several cabins are provided with WiFi. The visitors' center also provides free WiFi.

Are children invited to the ceremony?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we are respectfully requesting that they stay with the arranged sitter during the ceremony. That way, we can give them our focused attention during the reception! Thank you for your understanding.
