While we were both born and raised in STL, it took moving to Texas and attending SMU for us to meet for the first time. It was the start of Molly's freshman year when we were introduced through mutual friends. After laughing nonstop during our three-hour casual lunch date and a second date the next day, we knew this could be something special. The rest is history.

We began the day just like any other hot June Saturday in Dallas, grabbing coffee at one of our favorite spots and walking our pup Bili in Highland Park. Matthew convinced me to join him that afternoon at a finance networking event at SMU. I was less than thrilled when he told me to dress in 'business casual', so thank god for good friends who convinced me that maybe a sundress would be better than a pantsuit. When we pulled up to campus, Matthew started talking about meeting for the first time and our first few months on campus. We walked right past the spot where he picked me up for our second date and suddenly we were stopped in the middle of the boulevard. He dropped to one knee. After saying yes, we HEARD our families cheering and saw them running our way. The day was full of friends and family, stories and celebrations, and it's one we will never forget. SMU is a place we hold so close to our hearts which is why we decided to exchange our vows in front of all of you here at Perkins Chapel.

We have to thank all of you for taking part in our big day. Whether you're taking time away from work and family to fly here or you're celebrating virtually, this day would not be the same without the love and support of each of you. Getting to celebrate our love while being surrounded by you is the greatest blessing of all.
