Drive the scenic Great River Road/Explore beautiful towns nearby!
Drive along the Mississippi River on the Great River Road, a National Scenic Byway - and recently voted the country’s best scenic drive. Some of our favorite nearby places on this route are Pepin, WI (Markus grew up going to a family cabin here - it's gorgeous), Stockholm, WI (an incredibly charming and beautiful little town founded in 1854 by immigrants from Sweden - the Dexter and Sherman families are both mostly Scandinavian, so it's basically home) and Stillwater, MN (another stunningly charming city with amazing food and shopping).

If you don't have much time or prefer to stick to one place, everything you need can be found in the hotel! The attached restaurant, Junior's Restaurant & Tap House, has great food and an amazing happy hour all day Sunday.
