SFO

San Francisco Airport (SFO) or Oakland (OAK) are the two best places to fly into. From the airport you can take BART or a ride share (uber vs Lyft) to San Francisco.

If you have a car and are feeling like you would prefer to stay outside of San Francisco - you can’t go wrong with picking the Water’s Edge in Tiburon! Located next door to Sam’s Cafe (a brunch hotspot) and the ferry (for a quick ride to Angel’s Island for a hike or over to SF’s Embarcadero). The hotel has a roof deck with a fire pit and views of the bay!

Various Hotels in Union Square/Nob Hill/Downtown

Union Square/Nob Hill/Downtown neighborhoods have a ton of hotel options at a variety of price points that are close to public transit (Powell St and Montgomery St BART stations, Muni stops, cable cars) and major shopping centers. Just keep in mind that this area is a bit further away from the Golden Gate Club in the Presidio (approx 4 miles or a 20-25 Uber ride). Some options to consider (all with 4-5 star ratings on google): - the Westin St. Francis (molly has fond memories of staying here at Christmas time with her family to see the lights) - The Fairmont - InterContinental Mark Hopkins (make a cocktail reservation at the Top of the Mark!) - Hotel Zelos (check out the Dirty Habit lounge and restaurant within this hotel) - the W San Francisco (close proximity to the SF MOMA) - Axiom Hotel (Cable Car stop at your doorstep) - Hotel Zetta - San Francisco Marriott Marquis (check out the View Lounge at sunset!)
