Make sure to check out SF's iconic bridge painted in the bright hue of International Orange. You can walk or bike across (about 1.7 miles each way) or just enjoy the view from places like Crissy Field East Beach, Baker Beach (as shown in the photo here) or at our wedding venue... visibility is always pending the fog layer.
This park is huge. Running from the middle-ish of the city all the way to Ocean Beach. Walk or bike, and discover all kinds of things. A few highlights are the Bison Paddock, the De Young Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, SF Botanical Garden, Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden, and the Conservatory of Flowers. You can buy a "Gardens of Golden Gate Park Pass" which allows for unlimited visits to Conservatory of Flowers, Japanese Tea Garden, and San Francisco Botanical Garden for 3 days for $25 (or free if you are a SF resident!)
North of Ocean Beach and adjacent to the Legion of Honor Museum is this gem of a park. It's located on an elevated cliff/bluff, so it is packed with beautiful views of ocean vista after ocean vista. Once you walk 10 minutes down the trail, you will completely forget you are in a big city! There are some paved walking paths, steep dirt trails, and staircases to secret beaches with a rock labyrinth.... choose your own adventure.
If farmer's markets are your thing, check out one of the best at the Ferry Building on Saturday morning from 8am-2pm. Strolling a farmers market pairs well with a local Blue Bottle Coffee or a Humphrey Slocombe ice cream cone.
A casual brunch is always a nice idea in San Francisco. Most places open around 11am on weekends. Molly's go-to website for all food suggestions is always www.sf.eater.com - check it out for the latest hot spots closer to your trip. Reservations are recommended. Places like Foreign Cinema, Zazie, Rose’s Cafe (where Kris had his first SF breakfast in circa 2014), Tartine, Sessions at the Presidio, Sam’s Cafe (in Tiburon), Balboa Cafe, Wise Sons Bagels, and Tipsy Pig are some favorites. If a sit-down brunch if not your thing - you might be interested in the breakfast burrito from Underdog Tres (especially if you go too hard at the wedding celebration…. they deliver) or try out one of the many local coffee spots! Kris would suggest Pete's Coffee.
Explore all the cute shops, eats, and Sunday Farmer’s Market in our Inner Richmond neighborhood along Clement Street! This neighborhood is extra special to the Murphy family as our family has been living here for over 100 years (and now Kris is part of the history too)!
