Please RSVP by May 16th so we can get final counts to our vendors. If we don't hear from you by then, we will assume you don't like us anymore :'(
Please check your invitation envelope or your website RSVP to confirm who is included in your invite!
The dress code is loosely semi-formal. Wear something that makes you feel great, and that you can dance in! Bright colors, sparkles, and fun patterns are fair game! Ties and jackets aren't required. Kilts encouraged ;) The reception venue will be indoor-outdoor depending on weather, so wear shoes that will work on both grass and in a barn! The bride will be wearing Birkenstocks, so don't be afraid to wear comfy shoes!
The address for the ceremony and reception can be found on the "Wedding and Reception Location" tab of the website! The church and reception venue are about 1/2 mile down the road from each other. There is not much of a shoulder on Gloucester Hill Rd/Cobbs Bridge Rd so we don't recommend walking between the two locations.
The ceremony starts at 3. Please arrive with enough time to park at the church and find a seat! We're besties with a bunch of professional musicians so you won't want to miss the pre-show ;)
Yes, there is a parking lot at the church and lawn/dirt driveway parking for the reception.
Shady Lane Farm does not have an on-site public bathroom. We will have a bathroom trailer outside of the barn adjacent to the parking area with stalls and urinals. We can't guarantee the weather, so come prepared with a jacket or umbrella in case of rain.
Yes, please let us know of any food allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP. We will be having a make-your-own taco bar for dinner with both meat and vegetarian options and will have a corn tortillas for those who need a gluten free option.
Yes, we will have an open bar with a few beer and wine selections, and a margarita cocktail. We will also have plenty of non-alcoholic options available.
Maine weather can be unpredictable. Typically, you can expect June to be warm, and likely humid, however last spring and early summer we had about 12 Saturdays in a row that rained! We suggest checking the weather forecast a few days out and preparing accordingly. Bringing layers is highly encouraged as it can get chilly after the sun goes down.
Maine is well known for its natural beauty and coastal towns. There are endless wonderful beaches, lakes, hiking trails, historic sites, and other activites you can do while you're visiting! Please check our "Things to Do" tab on the website if you need some inspiration!
No, we do not have a hotel block reserved at this time. We recommend checking for accommodations at the Poland Spring Resort which is about 15 minutes away from the venues. You can also check our "Accomodations" tab on the website for more suggestions.
We don't currently have a registry at a specific website, but will be accepting cash funds toward our honeymoon roadtrip and home improvements! Check the "Registry" tab for more info!
