Molly and Sam met for the first time when they were 19 in their freshman Biology 103 class at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Sam spent the remainder of the year with a massive crush on Molly. At the beginning of Sophomore year, they formally met at a mutual friend’s party. They had an immediate connection, and began dating. In 2015, they moved in together and promptly adopted their first cat, Deal. In 2017, Molly and Sam graduated from school and moved back to Sam’s hometown, Minneapolis. Molly began teaching students with special needs and Sam started his job at 3M. In the summer of 2019, Molly and Sam began planning for their first canoe trip into the Boundary Waters. Little did Molly know but when they launched off the dock into the wilderness Sam had hidden a diamond ring somewhere in their backpacks. On the Fourth of July as the sun was setting, Sam got down on one knee and proposed to Molly. Due to the lack of cell service in the BWCA, their families had to wait 5 long days to get the call they knew was coming. In 2020, They bought a house together in South Minneapolis, and adopted their second cat, Cheese.
