Molly and Josh's story began when Josh decided to transfer from UNH to Cornell sophomore year. Molly, already an established track star, was quite interested in the new guy throwing javelin in Barton Hall but she was dating someone else at the time. Fast forward to second semester Junior year, Molly was single and enjoying a cocktail at her favorite bar, Dino's. Josh shared Molly's passion for Dino's so naturally he was there as well. Being friends a conversation began after some gentle prodding from Josh's friend Zack. That fateful night ended with Collegetown Pizza and was followed up the next day by Josh asking Molly out on a date. After spurning multiple advances, she agreed to dinner and a movie. By that summer they were dating.

Molly came home from a work trip and entered her apartment to find a table of candles and a hand-written note to go outside. When Molly walked out on the balcony she found Josh standing there with flowers and a bottle of champagne. After asking what he was doing there, Molly walked outside and Josh proposed, it was perfect. After enjoying the Chicago views on the balcony, they enjoyed dinner at a local Lincoln Park restaurant and ended the night with some friends and family at River Shannon.
