Flight
Fly into Lisbon (the wedding is in a nearby town of Lisbon, an easy Uber drive). You can fly direct between Chicago and Lisbon with airline TAP Portugal on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays in November. Sample itinerary with some time to explore Lisbon/Portugal before the wedding events: Depart Wednesday at 7:10pm (Chicago time), land Thursday at 9:05am (Portugal time); Return flight on Sunday departs at 11:25am (Portugal time) and lands at 3:00pm (Chicago time) same day. There are many options and flight paths based on your travels, but linking the most convenient path for reference.

Train
For travel from the airport/Lisbon to the wedding: Uber is easily accessible in Lisbon, Cascais and throughout Portugal, and taxis are plentiful on the roads to hail as well (and accept cards). The venue is a 30-45 min drive from Lisbon Airport. We recommend this as the easiest option - costs are generally cheaper than the US as well. The venue is a 5 min walk from the Monte Estoril Train Station, which has a direct train to Lisbon (45 min journey, to Cais do Sodre Train Station in Lisbon).
Travel Note
Visa and MasterCard are generally accepted via card or ApplePay in Lisbon and Cascais, no need to travel with euros / cash. English is widely spoken. Portugal accepts US citizen tourists without any visas required.
