Do I have to stay in Cascais / at the wedding venue hotel?

Answer

Although we would love to have all of our people near, we know there is a lot to explore - one reason we chose Lisbon for our destination. Our first night we plan to host a fun evening out in Lisbon, taking the train from Estoril Vintage Hotel to Lisbon to enjoy dinner and exploring.

Are direct flights available from Chicago?

Answer

Yes! TAP Air Portugal offers a direct flight between these cities several days a week. There is an option leaving Chicago on Wednesday, November 12th around 7pm and returning 11:25am on Sunday, November 16. We've linked the flight path on our Travel tab. General guidance is that you should book flights 2 or more months in advance to get the best prices, so we recommend booking by the end of the summer.

Will I need cash currency?

Answer

No! Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard) and ApplePay are widely accepted in Portugal.

Are my kids invited?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors? What will the weather be like?

Answer

We will have portions of the wedding outdoors, so please check the weather in advance! The temperature is typically mid/low 60s in Cascais in November.

Is there transportation provided between Lisbon and the venue?

Answer

Given people may choose to stay in various locations and travel on different days, we will not be providing transportation to the venue. Uber is widely accessible and so are cabs. If you would like to take the train, the venue is a quick walk from the Monte Estoril Train Station.
