Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Mollie FitzGerald and Xavier Donaldson
Stowe has become a special place to us —it’s where we’ve shared some of our favorite memories on many weekend trips together. One of the things we love most about Stowe is that no matter the season, there is so much to do for everyone. We’re so excited to celebrate here and to share it with the people we love most. We know life is busy and it means so much to us that you made the trip to Vermont to be here with us this weekend. While you’re in town, we hope you can take some time to explore and enjoy the places that have made this place one of our very favorites.
Stowe Gondola ride

Stowe Gondola ride

5781 Mountain Road, Stowe, VT 05672

There will be gondola ride discounts available for all wedding guests. We highly recommend it! The ride is beautiful and you should be able to see fall starting to make its appearance in mid September and the leaves starting to change. The Cliff House Restaurant at the summit of the mountain has great food and drinks for lunch. If you don't trust us, just ask Mr. and Mrs. Fitz! They took the ride to the top with us and they were not disappointed!

Butler's Pantry Breakfast and Dinner

Butler's Pantry Breakfast and Dinner

128 Main Street, Stowe, VT 05672

This is an absolute MUST. We always make sure we make time for a sit down breakfast here when we are in town. Mollie's favorite breakfast is the Cheddar Jalapeno Pancakes and Xavier says you can't go wrong with the omelet made to your liking. You’ll often see a line outside and it’s for good reason. We promise it’s worth the wait!

Alfie's Wild Ride

Alfie's Wild Ride

942 Mountain Road, Stowe, VT 05672

We have logged some time at this spot for sure, even enjoyed watching a few Super Bowls on their big screens. Alfie's has a great beer list and fun food menu. If you know us at all, you know we love a little friendly competition. Alfie's has it all... Shufflepuck, dart boards, cornhole, ping-pong and a mini arcade. Make us proud!

Breweries and Cideries

Breweries and Cideries

For you IPA lovers, don't even think about leaving Vermont without stopping at the Alchemist. Idletyme Brewing Co also has great beers and is beautiful on a nice day. If you're a Sound of Music fan, make sure you check out the views at the von Trapp Brewing & Bierhall. For you cider lovers, you can't go wrong with Stowe Cider or Cold Hollow Cider Mill just a few minutes away in Waterbury Center.

Black Cap Coffee & Bakery - espresso, lattes, sandwiches, pastries

This is our favorite spot to stop in for a coffee and breakfast on the go before starting a day of skiing

Shopping

Shopping

There's not shortage of shopping in Stowe. Grab a coffee at Black Cap and walk around the shops on Main Street ( we always seem to find something to buy at Shaw's General Store) There's also plenty of stores on your drive on mountain road up to the mountain and on your walk through Stowe Village at the resort.
