William is from Albany, GA. He and Josh took one of their first classes at Samford together. He was a part of the freshman friend group Josh was in. When he first met Mollie, he quickly gave her the nickname “Glitter princess” before even knowing her name. He and Josh have stayed up late many a night enjoying thought-provoking conversations.
Jared Boleyn
Groomsman
Jared is from Montgomery, Alabama. He was a part of Josh’s freshman friend group and was a computer science major with Josh. He and Josh shared a couple classes, and they were able to commiserate together. One of those being Artificial Intelligence which was one of the hardest classes taught by one of the hardest professors on campus. After graduation, both Jared and Josh found themselves working for the same company, BBVA.
Lauren Carlton

Lauren and Mollie met at Ars Nova Performing Arts school. They sang with the same voice teacher. They really bonded during the show Mulan when little middle school Mollie had boy troubles and turned to the cool high school student director for help. Of course many shenanigans ensued. Lauren encouraged Mollie's love of glitter, Disney, and drama. Lauren quickly became like a big sister to Mollie. One of their craziest friendship accomplishments includes a 5 hour Skype call when Lauren was away at UA. That last hour though was a blur because both were quite slap happy and delirious though.
Nick Choppa

Josh and Mollie met Nick through Molly and her husband, Paul. They all went on a beach trip summer '18 and hit it off. He is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Licensed Acupuncture, Master's of Science in Oriental Medicine. He and Josh bonded over table top games. Specifically, exploring world creating and character development.
Robert "Hatch" Hatcher

Robert (Hatch) Hatcher is also a good ole Georgia boy from Albany. He was a center for the Samford Bulldogs. When he wasn’t training and practicing, he was working on his Science and Religion degree. He took an interest in computer science and ended up taking several of the same classes Josh and Jared had to take. He’s now working on his computer science Master’s degree in cyber security at UAB. He was the one that gave Josh one of his college nicknames, Drillbit, due to his camo pants and combat boot attire at the time.
Molly Knickerbocker

Molly and Mollie have known each other since middle school. They like to joke that they are basically the same person, just different ethnicities. No. Really. They were both home schooled, love theater(specifically Huntsville's community theater), love to sew, both have lovable nerds as significant others, and love to sing. Not to mention before Molly got married, both of them had the same initials, MBL. In high school, they sat next to each other in choir, so someone gave them the nicknames Molly 1 and Mollie A. This eliminated confusion and made sure neither one felt like second place. They have done several shows together and now they both spend their time studying together for nursing school. Mollie for her RN and Molly for her NP. See? Yet another similarity.

Mollie was adopted from China at 3months and has been living in Huntsville, AL ever since. She went to Samford University and received her BS in Biochemistry with a chemistry minor. After working in a lab for a year, she decided to go back to school to pursue her nursing degree. To sum up Mollie's personality if you ask her what her favorite color is, she'll tell you it's glitter. When she isn't studying her hobbies include: singing, dancing, acting, crafting, Netflix, and napping. Her passion is musical theater and loves to participate in community shows as often as she can.
Rosie Love

Rosie is Mollie's sister. She is very talented and accomplished. In high school, she took karate and obtained her 2nd Degree black belt. She brought home many trophies from various competitions. She taught a lot of the children's karate classes, and the students and their parents absolutely adored her. She is currently a manager at Huntsville Escape Rooms and a Surgical Technician at Huntsville Hospital. She is also a very talented artist.
Joshua McKinney
Groom
Joshua is a Birmingham, Al native. Growing up, he greatly admired the military and loved wearing camo. In middle and high school, he joined the Boy Scouts of America and earned the prestigious Eagle Scout ranking. He want to college at Samford University and received his BS in Computer Science. He worked for a year as a mobile app developer for BBVA, and is now working as a defense contractor. When he is not working, he likes to experiment in the kitchen, work with his 3D printer, spend time in the workshop, and read up on the latest aerospace news.
Ryan Neck
Best Man
Ryan hails from San Diego, CA. Mollie and Ryan both participated in a summer camp hosted by the Samford honor’s group, University Fellows, between their junior and senior year at high school. Fast forward to freshman year of college and Ryan and Josh were both in the Air Force ROTC detachment at Samford. Ryan and Josh helped Mollie when she had a panic attack and helped her into some fresh air and both stayed with her until it passed. Thus began Josh’s friendship with Mollie. Sophomore year Ryan and Josh were roommates, and Ryan remained a part of Mollie’s and Josh’s friend group throughout the rest of their time at Samford. He is now a Lieutenant in the Air Force as a missileer.
Michael Pyefinch

Michael is our favorite person from across the pond. Mollie and Josh got to know him through Hatch. Michael was doing a year abroad through the Cumberland School of Law at Samford. While there, he roomed with Hatch at the Sigma Nu house on campus. During his time here, Mollie and Josh’s friend group had a great time showing him the “American way”. He’s a loveable Brit who quickly wormed his way into their hearts.
Katie Joy "KJ" Smith

KJ is a missionary kid from Nepal. She is also in the Air Force ROTC at Samford and was trained by Ryan Neck her freshman year. This is how she got to know Josh. According to Josh, they bonded over their kindred sarcastic spirit and giving Michael a hard time for being foreign. She began hanging out more with Mollie and Josh’s friend group and fit right in. Her spring semester freshman year, Mollie got to be her general chemistry TA. Somewhere during this time, Mollie and Josh somehow earned the title “Mom and Dad” from KJ. Probably because everyone was a senior but she was a freshman. She is getting ready to graduate and commission into the Air Force as a nurse in May 2020.
Elizabeth Staup

Elizabeth is from Huntsville, Al. She and Mollie met in high school at Mayfair Church of Christ. They ended up going to the same church camp and sharing a bunk bed. That night, they spent the evening talking and found they both had a love for singing. Senior year, they ended up talking from the same voice teacher and sang a duet from Avenue Q, "The More You Ruv Someone". Though both went to Samford, Elizabeth and Mollie lost touch with each other for a bit, though they did run into each other form time to time. Fast forward to junior year of college. Elizabeth asked Mollie to room with her and the rest is history. Their friendship picked right back up, and they've been best friend's ever since. They have laughed, cried, vented, and been utterly ridiculous together as girls tend to be.
Isaac Wendland

Isaac and Mollie met taking the same science classes together in high school. For some reason, Isaac decided to take Mollie under his wing and teach her the art of sarcasm. She was a little too gullible. They ended up hanging out together a lot, and Mollie even got Issac to audition for a Fantasy Children's Playhouse show. Both Mollie and Isaac liked to plan get-togethers and they had lots of parties in high school: New Year's Parties, Christmas parties, Murder mystery parties, and movie parties to name a few. They even did an Lord of the Rings Extended Edition movie marathon. That was a 12hr pizza and Mt. Dew Voltage fueled event, and that isn't counting breaks. Though Mollie went to school, and Issac joined the coast guard, they are still close. Isaac is like a brother Mollie.
